New gamemode:Pillar wars

When i was writing something about the skywars play area an idea struck to me

This gamemode i would like to call pillar wars

So this gamemode is basically inspired by The Layers(a post that is made by LightKnight5742)

About the gamemode:

So this gamemode can be a fast and slow paced gamemode it depends.
The gamemode is filled with 30 players and a kill area that gets higher and higher.

The kill area deals 2 hearts of damage per seconds(this might sound a little bit too op so tell me what you think about the kill area dmg)

How does the gamemode work?

Well basically you will spawn with 2 stacks of wool a wooden axe and a jump boost potion(15 seconds)

So the 1 stacks of wool is for you to pillar up
Now you see why the kill area goes up

there will be a 15 second grace period so the players just dont go stab people for kills early game

Now lets talk about how we get more blocks to build up

Now basically the way you can buy blocks,weapons,armor,and potions is with the soul shop

So basically you buy weapons,potions,and blocks with souls/kills.This prevents campers from winning the game

if there is only 4 people left in the game a Deathmatch will happen in 1 minute

How does the Deathmatch work?

Basically the kill area will go up 1 block every 0.5 seconds

Now lets talk about the shops system
Note:you will start with 1 free block token when you start the game

so souls can be converted into tokens

What are tokens for well they are for buying stuff BUT there is still more into it

Now tokens can be converted into block token,weapon token,potion token,and an armor token

what they do is they let you buy a specific thing from a shop example:1 block token can buy you lets say 32 blocks of wool

you can sell items to for a block,weapon,and potion token

here are how many tokens you need to spend on items
32 blocks of wool = 1 block of token

wooden sword = 1 weapon token

stone sword = 2 weapon tokens

iron sword = 3 weapon tokens

diamond sword = 4 weapon tokens

splash potion of healing = 2 potion token

splash potion of jump boost = 2 potion token

splash potion of regeneration = 2 potion token

full chain armor = 10 armor tokens

full iron armor = 15 armor tokens

full diamond armor = 20 armor tokens

You might feel getting ripped of with the price because there is only 30 people in the game and you are probably gonna get 1-6 kills per game but dont you worry i have a solution

ISLANDS what does islands do?

They have a chest containing a 1-5 tokens that you can convert to other tokens

Islands also have ores that if you mine will give you 2 tokens

1 Island has an average of 5-9 token ores

and yeah thats the game make a platform if someone drops down to you.leap up 3 times to get back to your pillar. the way to win this if someone is dropping on you AND if you know he is actually going to drop down make a platform quickly

(let me know what i should improve or nerf on this gamemode that i thinked off)

And what would happen if you reach build limit?

Well isnt build limit getting raised by double.

Hive supports 1.16 so it wouldn’t

Eventually the hive will update. This could be from 1.18 coming out because in 1.18 there will be pvp changes and some people cant downgrade so the hive would have to update to 1.18 or code their own pvp mechanics so all versions 1.16 and above work

or they could just change the build height. i can prob do that with command blocks

you cant change the build height with commands.

oh yeah i forgot to say this if it reaches build limit the kill area will be stuck at 252 so you basically fight them normally in build limit

How about if you make it to the top theres a deathmatch like in sg.

This would be cool be cool if everyone spawned or could use the tokens to get a Knockback nemo. I feel like this could be be a game where you could practice clutching. This game does remind me of wool wars from munchy.mc (Badboyhalo’s Java server) but it is still an original idea. I like it.

so yeah knockback nemo could do but lets make it have a cooldown because you just dont wanna get launched up of the map like 5 times in a row do you?
