New game: Charge

Its been a while since I’ve posted any ideas of mine for a new game… so here I am again! This time, I’m going to talk about an idea that I came up with. The objective of this game is to be the last team standing. What do you have to do in order to stay alive? Well, your team has to go up to the center beacon and stand in the circle around it, which is similar to the capture system in Mineplex’s Cake Wars. The team that has the center beacon captured is granted infinite lives. By default, each team gets 3 lives. So, the center beacon plays an essential role in this. At spawn, each team has a diamond summoner. Diamonds can be used to buy things like armor, weapons, tools, blocks (You can use blocks to prevent other players from capturing the center beacon), and other items like Gapples and Epearls. However, diamonds are not the only currency. The team that captures the center beacon also gets a nether star from the diamond summoner once every 3 diamonds. The nether stars can be used to buy upgrades such as a new life, summoner upgrades, enchantments, and other team perks. I will list every team perk down below. This game can be played in Solos, Duos, Trios, Squads, and Mega. Much like Treasure Wars. Not only that, but this game also takes place in the sky. Every player on each team starts off with dyed leather armor, a set of wooden tools, and 16 blocks of wool. Here are some of the things you can buy in this game… (Keep in mind that once you die; armor upgrades, tool upgrades, and weapon upgrades will be reset)

Diamond Shop
Sword Upgrade (Stone, Iron, Diamond): 5 Diamonds for each upgrade
Tool Upgrade (Stone, Iron, Diamond): 5 Diamonds for each upgrade
Armor Upgrade (Chainmail, Iron, Diamond): 10 Diamonds for each upgrade
x16 Wool: 5 Diamonds
x16 Wood: 10 Diamonds
x16 Concrete: 15 Diamonds
x16 Endstone: 20 Diamonds
Bow: 10 Diamonds
x8 Arrows: 5 Diamonds
x4 Golden Apples: 10 Diamonds
x2 Ender Pearls: 10 Diamonds
x4 Snowballs: 5 Diamonds

Nether Star Shop
Summoner Upgrade (Lvs 1 - 3): 2 Nether Stars Each
Sharpness Upgrade: 2 Nether Stars
Protection Upgrade: 4 Nether Stars
Extra Life: 8 Nether Stars
Speed Effect (Only active when the beacon is captured): 2 Nether Stars
Leaping Effect (Only when the beacon is captured): 2 Nether Stars
Haste Effect (Only when the beacon is captured): 2 Nether Stars
Regeneration Effect (Only active when the beacon is captured): 2 Nether Stars

Now, let’s talk about cosmetics. What about cosmetics? What should they be? Hmm… maybe respawn animations, projectile trails, and elimination phrases. Also, maybe the level cap should start at around 30-40, just so people can’t easily reach the level cap or have a hard time reaching the level cap. What do you think? Should “Charge” be its own hub statue, or should it come with the Mixed Arcade? Vote in the pole below!

Edit: Maybe there should be a grace period since having all teams bridge to the beacon at once would be a bit of a mess.

  • This game should be its own hub statue
  • This game should be in the Mixed Arcade

Okay, now that this pole is closed, how about a poll for a few costume ideas? I have a few ideas up my sleeve…

  • Costume #1: Beacon-Bot
  • Costume #2: Electro-Knight
  • Costume #3: Plug-Head
  • Other (Post your idea in this thread)

I feel this game mode feels kinda copying off cake wars and really similar to treasure wars and would take much longer than being mixed arcade game the trades is unique though, but would be a fun game mode

This was inspired by Mineplex’s Cake Wars a bit, but its not a direct copy. This and Cake Wars don’t share the same concept. Cake Wars is based off of BedWars, while this has its own concept. It shares the same capture mechanic, yes, but everything else is different.

Yeah and I still think it’s too long for arcade cause I think it would be a bunch of mini game taking like 1-2 minutes but would be a cool game

I feel like this would fit best as a twars ltm. and the nether stars should be separate from the main beacon, so you have to divert your forces between the 2 things

Yeah, but this doesn’t share the same concept as Treasure Wars. Sure it has the shop system, but thats about it. This game has its own unique concept, and it certainly wouldn’t fit as a LTM mode for Treasure Wars.

Once we get to 20 or more voters, this pole is going to close!

The pole is closed! It looks like more people want this game to be its own hub statue…

I like how there were 20 voters in the poll but only 7 people actually voted for the suggestion.

Once we hit 15 voters, the costume poll will close…
