What if we had a Mega Deathrun?
Playing the some old Deathrun that only lasts for 1 minute, possibly 2 minutes, gets kind of boring after some time. But what if we got a Mega Deathrun : Larger maps, more players, more deaths, more abilities and new, creative ways to unalive players. Example, the maps Temple and Steampunk have they’re unique ways of murdering the runners such as : The Swing Blades, The Clock, and The Gas Chamber; Outside of that, each map feels the same.
Player Count:
I was thinking that instead of 18 runners, I was thinking of increasing that number to somewhere in the range of 30-45 runners. With the Deaths, I was thinking of having 5 deaths, instead of the 2.
Abilities:
Before the match starts, each player is given a choice on what they want to use, but cannot use the other(s).
[Rewind] - When this ability is activated, revert 3 seconds from where you are to where you were before. This allows the player to get out of sticky situations such as falling into a pit, or to trick the deaths into thinking you’re about to go into a trap. However, this ability has a long cooldown (Was thinking in the 20-30 second range)
[Leap] - Keep this ability the same, however, decrease the time from 15 seconds to possibly 10 seconds.
Map Ideas:
[Map Itself] - Cause, yes, I have a map idea. What if you went for an underground mine, dug out by dwarves; With large and heavy equipment. Along with the use of mega tons of TNT. Taking a bit of reference from a different video game called “Deep Rock Galactic”
[New Trap Ideas]:
Thrown Pickaxe - When this trap is activated, dwarves would come out of holes, dug out by them, and throw their pickaxes at the runners, kind of acting like the Swing Axe trap.
Mining Drill - When this trap is activated, a large minecart with a drill attached to it would come barreling through one of the walls and murder any players in its path. Just for some hahas, add a dwarf on top of said mining drill.
Mega TNT - One very, VERY large TNT sitting in the middle of the trap. When activated, any player inside of the kill zone will be trapped with the TNT. A dwarf would come out of nowhere (or somewhere, if you please) and pull out a detonator; Exploding the TNT, murdering every player inside.
Elevator - When activated, a wooden elevator would come down from the ceiling, crushing any players under it.
After 1 Player Finishes:
Instead of a 1 minute countdown, give all players a 2-3 minute countdown, giving players who are way behind a chance to finish as well.
Hopefully, you guys, along with the whole community, will understand on how this could change how Deathrun will be played and give the older community something new, challenging, and fun (at least, in my opinion); Please do take this into consideration.
