Here is the idea:
Add a cyan boombox called the teleporter boombox. This boombox works kinda like an enderpearl plus a boombox. When it explodes, you teleport there. It is rarer than an enderpearl and can only be dropped by emerald ores or found in a chest. The thing that is different though is that if you miss, you teleport to the closest solid ground instead.

Knockback boombox already serves this purpose plus as you said it’s very similar to an ender pearl no offense but just kind of seems unnecessary

it could be you get two of them, and one of them you place somewhere you want to teleport, and it stays there until the second one explodes, and when you place the second one you teleport to the first one and they both disappear.
