The Magic Mirror is a relic that possesses an all-knowing spirit, compelled to tell the truth no matter the question. We see the Mirror in movies like Snow White, Mirror Mirror (my least favourite movie listed), and even Shrek.

Basic Description. :speech_balloon:

The Magic Mirror is a golden-bordered mirror, designed to talk to the player. For an empty, dark and expressionless void, it sure likes to talk a lot. After 1-2 minutes, the mirror starts speaking to you, typing text that is different every time… unless you have no life and stay in the hub for hours on end. Obviously the mirror doesn’t speak, it types out the message above the XP bar, just like the Enemy Alarm notification in BedWars.

I lost the ability to make models due to a computer malfunction, so I’m compensating by adding a description instead of your regular Concept Art. I’ve never been more depressed…

THESE EXAMPLES ARE NOT FINAL! Since there is so many texts, only a select few will be added. Therefore, I can add all the text I want without ruining the lives of multiple developers!

  • The secret to win every game is determination and skill, dear player.
  • The Questmaster isn’t who you think he is, I’m afraid. He’s much more than a merchant….
  • Ah yes, the shrine. I sense dark magic around there… I’d avoid at all costs.
  • Playing alone? Why not play with friends?
  • I wonder where those Amethyst Bees are made… and why?
  • Why are you still here, player? Just choose a game already!
  • Levels don’t correlate with skill, you know.
  • When finding the Murderer, make sure to observe every player closely.
  • Don’t waste your diamonds on Deepslate just yet. Instead, upgrade your generator first.
  • Make sure to memorise the maps in order to easily find the pesky Hiders.
  • Avoid the Death Master’s traps at all costs!
  • That evil scientist… make sure to pay close attention to the floor patterns… or meet your doom.
  • Whatever happened to that Treasure Wars character? I haven’t seen them in years…
  • Nice hubtitle! Did you choose it yourself?
  • Nice costume! Did you choose it yourself?
  • Nice avatar! Did you choose it yourself?
  • Personally, I prefer listening to classical every once in a while.
  • How many Minecoins did it take to purchase me? I hope it was a lot… I’m VERY valuable.
  • I wonder what happens when you ride the train for an hour or so? Hmm…
  • I love the winter. The cold air, the snowy atmosphere, it’s perfect!
  • I loved colouring, but then I became a mirror. Mistakes happen, I guess…

I love the small little lore! This would be very goofy and work great, and I would totally buy it.
This could also work as a secret in the hub, so you could stumble across a secret room under the castle. Just a thought.

I’ll drop a vote, but I think having it speak would not only be annoying for players, but costly for Hive since they’d have to hire a voiceover artist to read quite a few lines. That is, assuming it does have enough lines for it to seemingly not repeat itself.

I think “speak” means messages in chat to the player, not actually speaking.

Yeah, I didn’t mean it would talk to you with a voice, I meant that text would show up above the hotbar/XP bar.

Is that a serious question or are you just joking? Do you know what sound is? You can hear things close to you, even if it’s behind you, or in this case, on your back. Because it’s a Back-Bling. Besides, you don’t literally talk to it. It’s Minecraft. You just sit and read what it’s saying.

It’s not a “creepy dude”, it’s a mirror that has an empty, dark void instead of a reflection. If you read the description of the model, you’d probably know that.

That’s probably true. Sorry for lashing out, I’ve been going through some personal stuff recently. The endless void would probably look cool if incorporated into a cosmetic somehow, though.

I could see how confusing that is… glad it’s all cleared up now!

It’s pretty much identical to the text that shows up when the Enemy Alarm notices somebody on your island in BedWars. The red “Enemy detected near Island” thingy.
