Netherite Sword instead Sharp 1 Diamond Sword

Currently, in Skywars, we have sharp 1 diamond swords, which, although they are cool, I think a quick change that people would enjoy is a netherite sword instead, as it does the exact same amount of damage and could become the first use of netherite armour/tools in a hive PvP game :eyes:

This would be soooo cool to have this!

This could be cool but the emerald ore are supposed to drop enchanted items, so maybe somehow add a worthless enchantment to it so it looks enchanted. And murder mystery does use a netherite sword, so that could be considered the first use of it.

good point i’ll edit the post to say “in a PVP game”

I like this but what ore will it drop from? Last time an item had a useless enchantment on they just removed the enchant and made a useful one (resperation diamond helmet)

Now it would be cool to add this, but at that point they may aswell add netherite armour otherwise it’d be very put of place which they’d probably never add due to the decreased KB. :splodger:

Bump it up

Well actually idk if Hive adjusted it but every level of sharpness adds 1.25 attack dmg to a sword/axe so it wouldn’t exactly be the same because neth swords are 8 attck dmg and sharp 1 dia sword is 8.25 attack dmg

Sharpness doesn’t add 1.25 attack damage. On Hypixel what you said is accurate, but this is Hive, mate. They vastly oversimplify the damage system. Damage is done in half-heart increments. If the weapon is unable to do half a heart, then it does zero damage, regardless of the number of hits.

A texture pack can do the same. But I guess its ok? I mean to be fair I dont really care.

Good idea I guess but what about prot armor?

But a lot texture packs need to retexture that

Then just texture them yourself, if you’re on PC.

Why not just download a texture pack, and if maybe you dont like the enchantment glint then just turn it off.

You can on mobile as well. Just export the texture pack as .mcpack and open it with Minecraft. Simple!

See guys a texture pack can do just the same as if they actually replaced it. I do get why this suggestion was made, but there are a lot of texture packs propabley doing this.
