Murder Mystery: Murderer’s Paradise (Concept)
I am confident in that the concept of the game I will be talking about is original. However, if anyone does find a game suggestion like this, please link it so we can show them some support!
The idea is quite simple actually, but it could be a fun twist on the already original gameplay. This would most likely be an ltm or something along those lines as it would align significantly with the pre-existing gameplay.

With that out of the way though, let’s jump into it:
Parameters of the game:

  1. 15 players
  • One murderer
  • No sheriff
  1. 2:30 min games (can be adjusted)
  2. Maps do not need to be altered, everything else is the same

Concept:
This game is centered around the skill level and their ability to play cautiously as murderer.
As the murderer all normal things apply except two main rules, if 10 kills are achieved (can be adjusted) or if they survive (with a minimum of 5 kills (can also be adjusted)) then the game is considered a loss for the innocents.
The innocents do not die however, the goal is to find the needle in the haystack! If they are killed, then they will respawn after 5-15 seconds with 0 coins, and the skin of the murderer will change (to prevent the innocents from dying early and immediately having vital information) or when the innocent dies the skin of the murderer can be obscured so as to also prevent this. This change can provide a new experience to the already familiar maps and gameplay, and allow for the upbringing of new playing styles as the murderer must adapt to the constant fear of being observed by respawning innocents and them constantly getting coins if they are not killed off fast enough, this’ll also punish players who chose the pacifist route as not meeting kill requirement or dying will lead to a loss and with innocents being able to respawn, shooting others becomes less of a hindrance for innocents but important for information gathering, also on the off chance you get shot as murderer, a loss is a loss, shoulda killed them like in normal MM

XP System:
My idea is an overhaul on the killing xp system, as getting kills is not only important, but risky and dangerous. We should further nudge murderers to getting their kills with an exponential xp system:

Following this general idea: the titles associated with the amount of kills is for fun (XP per kill)
-Beginner

  • 1-3 kills: 3 XP per kill
    -Making the Requirement
  • 4-5 kills: 5 XP per kill
    -A+ Right There!
  • 6-7 Kills: 10 XP per kill
    -Overachiever
  • 8-10 kills: 15 XP per kill
    -On a Roll
  • 11-12 kills: 20 XP per kill
    -On a RAMPAGE
  • 13-14 kills: 25 XP per kill
    -UNSTOPPABLE
  • 15+ kills: 30 XP per kill
