Idea:
Don’t allow costumes in MM/Change in the allocation of Hive default skins

Causes problems when more than one person has the same costume/default skin and one of them is the murderer. Have been in multiple such instances and have many times shot the wrong dude.
Edit: I took an ss at the right time. On the left and on the right, there are 2 dudes with the froggy costume. Normally it is the hive default skins that create a problem. IDK if this is a strategy adopted by the top players or smth bcz I play late at night and really high lvl dudes play at that time.
edit 2: two dudes in some fox costume. there were also 2 dudes in the hive default pig skin but only one of them is visible here

I haven’t been playing much recently since my finals are going on.
most of the times i play mm, the players are either in their own minecraft skin or a costume, so i dont think its necessary to make it so that players are not allowed to be in costumes. when im sherrif, i havent encountered a situation where 2 players are in the same costume, cos most of the times whoever is the murd will tend to show their sword

I have encountered this situation many times in the past few days since most dudes are wearing the new lunar year costume. I have encountered this in the past many times aswell where 2 players have the same hive default skin. So even if costumes are allowed, I do beleive that hive should give different hive default skins when queuing a game. Have encountered this probably 1/20 or 1/30 games.
Their not going to add this bc alot of people like the costumes on the hive there’s people out there that only wear costumes like me

I have updated the post with an ss. It was hard to get an ss of two people with the same costume/hive default skin next to each other.
I say it would be better if the game provides different costume skin for each one in the game so that really no one will be the same as the other

I agree but there isn’t much of a “solution” to this problem other than adding more default skins, or just color coding people (which makes murder mystery too similar to among us). I think they should show names above the players, but that would be advantageous to the murderer.
Let’s be so fr tho, even if that theoretically did happen, people would still just find the same skin and put it on. People sometimes just goof around and sure it sometimes make the game a nightmare, it also adds a bit of extra difficulty that u got to cope with. Obviously teaming is stupid and people ought to get kicked and whatnot for that, but if it’s just the same costume or same skin and they aren’t doing stupid sheriff murder team-ups, I don’t know about you all but I don’t really see a huge issue
