Idea: Switch players should be moved out of the touch queue
More information: Switch players still have a major advantage to mobile players, and are being put into touch queues which make it unfair. They have controls just like Win10 and console players do whereas non control devices don’t. I don’t understand why switch players were added to the touch players queue, if there is a reason why please reply with one.
To be honest i’m not really sure what’s the reason Switch is considered a touch device, but one of the reasons I imagine why is because you can use the console’s touchscreen for GUIs. You can tap the screen to select things and stuff.
Can someone who is a switch player confirm if you’re able to use touch controls just like mobile players can. Because if you can’t and the only “touch control” available is selecting items in your inventory then there is no reason why it should be considered a touch device. The Ps4 controller has a touchpad and no one in their right mind would call that a touch device.
Even if switch players are able to use touch controls like mobile players, how many switch players who have been using controllers/joycons for every single other game would stop using a controller just for one game?
I mean, by that logic, surfaces should be in the mobile queue because you can switch to pe controls on them

There are no touch controlls on Switch, the only touchable things (as far as i remember) are UI/GUI buttons and the hotbar
Or pretty much any 2 and 1 laptop, but yeah you have a good point, switch is a console so it should be in the same queue as xbox one and ps4 users lol
My dad has an ns, and he bought a wireless controller for it, that was specifically made for switchs. Basically makes them the same as xbox players
U can touch ur screen, but I’ve never done it. The only thing is when u try to grab stuff from inventory, or turn around fast, it’s impossible. You can’t do anything very fast on switch expect speed bridge and press hit super fast. Imo, I think switch should stay with phone and Xbox. PC players sweat tho so Idk switch players will ever be able to win if they switch (no pun intended) the switch to non touch.
Xbox is with pc, so switch and mobile are together.
people on mobile could still hook up wireless keyboards & mice…
On the support page it says that they’re working on a way to detect mobile players who connect a controller, so I assume they’re working on detecting that as well.
I’m a switch player and I can confirm you can use touch for guis but not controlling.
Also I have best many sweaty pc players
how is this still an issue??? Just queued against one of the best switch players in ctf with pbmm def on and realized this never got fixed

I’ve checked with our developers and I can confirm that this is not the case. It’s likely that PBMM was not active whilst you were playing.
