TL;DR: There are a concerning amount of nsfw builds in Just Build. Have some more moderation to make it rarer.
It feels like every time I play Just Build there is always at least one nsfw build. Whilst yes, reporting it and moving with your day is what the player can do to help, the prevalence of these builds is disturbing.
For me and other older players, it’s a"Really dude? Why?" moment. And sure the younger players (aka the majority of the playerbase) are less likely to understand it, but their parents would be understandably horrified. The Hive could be all over the news because “Little Timmy sees no-no creations on The Hive Minigames Minecraft Server” The bad publicity wouldn’t be great for Minecraft as a whole.
So the idea is for there to be some more resources dedicated to moderating Just Build. Yes, I know this isn’t a simple fix that Hive could do overnight. But just something to help cut back on the nsfw builds would be appreciated.
This is something just build needs, as there is a report item but it only kicks a player out of the game after multiple reports. The fact that in inappropriate builds get voted so high makes the game annoying to play leading me to never play the game (unless in a custom server party or when there is a stream competition). This is my ideas for improving just build:
If a build gets 2 or 3 reports by “trusted report players” (the system that decides how much qp you get after a successful report) it gets disqualified from being in the game and gets reported to a moderator. If the build is not inappropriate (or what the report says) then the person who reported it gets less trusted and the builder gets some xp to compensate. If you disagree with the last bit, I understand that how much do you get is kind of controversial.

Edit: this is just an idea, we do need more staff moderation of just build.

Yes, more moderation would be great for just build
unfortunately, this isnt something the hive can just do. more moderation requires more moderators, and moderators are either volunteers, which sometimes arent good people for the job (thats why only so many people are helpers) or paid employees, which isnt a good idea considering how unstable running a minecraft server is for a living.
believe me, I want this, but its just not very possible at this point
Read the 2nd to last sentence. Also you don’t know Hive’s finanicials so don’t call it “unstable”. They wouldn’t be expanding by making a 2nd featured server if they were struggling financially.
Not safe for work. I think.

well moderators are paid, only helpers are volunteers if I remember correctly.
Actually I was wondering whether we can let helpers do this
