First of all, I want to thank the developers for creating the Ultimate Rank, I asked for a new rank a year ago)
But still… 3420 coins… for the highest rank? It’s still very cheap and doesn’t allow those who want and can afford it to be different from others, and I’m sure there are a lot of people.
I understood the logic of the Ultimate cost for 3420, it needs to be close to a pack of 3500 coins for $19.99. It’s a good idea.
But above that, we have 8,800 coins for $49.99, and it seems to me that this could be a great price for a higher status (Or you can make it even higher)
I understand that it will take a long time to test the Ultimate sales, etc., but for the future, I think many people would be happy to see.
Interesting topic for discussion. Ultimate is not much different from Hive+, but I’m sure many will buy it anyway. Personally, +100%xp and 4 votes for maps would be enough for me to pay $50
Personally, I’m not buying Hive + or Hive U unless some changes are made in terms of hub cosmetics because for me the benefits would only be for quests for cosmetics but right now you can only get costumes which is worthless to me. I also have no problem spending on games given that I have an almost fully maxed clash royal and brawl stars account that I had to pay to level up.
For the same reason that many people will buy the status for $20 tomorrow (If the Ultimate is actually added tomorrow). Most players will be against it, of course (although it doesn’t affect them in any way), but if you haven’t bought Hive+, you won’t understand.
I think your just rich my guy if you think 20$ for a Minecraft rank is cheap and that a 50$ Minecraft rank is even acceptable, what would you be able to add for such a high price that would make it worth it that also wouldn’t be too OP/shouldn’t be given to players? I’m very sorry but I don’t think for it to be effectively a flex is good enough.
Hive U was the next step up many players wanted (as evidenced by Hive++), but a step past that feels absurd to me.
Then again, Hive Ultimate on The Hive: Java Edition was close to $100 USD, however, I see your point.
The Hive: Bedrock Edition is different, it is not Java Edition. $20 USD for a rank is my limit, and I’m sure it’s others’ limits too. As Alf previously stated, a step past that just seems absurd.
What do we see now? There is a huge demand for Ultimate. Honestly, it’s ridiculous to even discuss whether a status for $ 50 is needed, of course it is. If you don’t have Ultimate, you won’t buy a higher status and you’ll say you don’t need it. But you are not the target audience!
Ummm you do know that almost nobody except diehard fans of the hive are gonna buy a $50 rank, and you cannot justify it without perks like flying, and some other pretty op stuff cause, well it’s $50. I mean how many games spends $50 for a rank that only marginally improves from the $20 rank we have.
Quite frankly that’ absurd, who in the world is the target audience when like 20 people at beast will like buy a $50 rank, we don’t ranks $50 like those P2W Minecraft servers(saying that cause you’ve ever seen those servers they are crazy), and if $20 is already absurd to a lot of people, Then how will $50 not be flat out insane to most people. 1 Joe thing, hive+ is $10 and hive u is $20, so that means if hive+ bought it, it is still $40, and if hive u, it would be $20, a bit more reasonable, but i would see it if it was like, $35, or make there a good reason to buy it. I’d only see xp grinders, diehard fans, and the richest of hive players lol. Also just I feel like the hive will end adding ranks till like 5 years in the future, and also we need to up YouTube rank you saw how close the $20 rank is to the perks of yt rank?
I agree. I hate servers that are nothing but cash-grabs. If you want to spend money, you can spend it on things like boosters and cosmetics. Twenty dollars is enough.
I also think this discussion would be better had not right around the releasing of a new rank. Let’s be satisfied they did add a second rank and worry about another rank in future.
If hive adds a rank for $50, nothing will change for you. “If you want to spend money - buy more cosmetics” sounds like “if you want to spend money - burn it”. I have my favorite cosmetics and I’m not going to buy the ones I don’t like, I can’t wear them all at once
And I repeat, it is important to ask people with Ultimate for their opinion. Many people here do not have Hive+ and were clearly against the new rank (until it was added), when I proposed a new rank a year ago - no one supported me. Simply because most players want everything and for free.
Adding a new rank does not take your money - you can also play for free
It’s ridicolous how people are spending their money on servers to have 2 votes for maps, useless pets, etc. 50$ is sick. What would you get? An ender dragon pet? 1000% XP boost? Creative mode?!
What will change is Hives reputation from what I’d say is the only major server that doesn’t appear as money hungry. That does impact the general player base. I can also imagine players bragging they have this new rank, and with that some classism too.
The only reason there would be to buy such an expensive rank would be to literally just burn money - nothing could be added to justify the price otherwise the perks would be wayy too OP.
Also, about people with Ultimate for their opinion, I’ll be getting Ultimate within the next week if that counts.. and as you can see I’m really against the idea of a third rank.
Also the fact that your saying that forumers were against the new rank is kind of insane, the largest suggestion on the entire forums was literally to add this new rank. It’s not that everyone wants everything free. It’s that everyone doesn’t want anything stupidly expensive. It would be silly to expect people to want a free rank just as much as it is to expect people to want a 50$ one.
