Microhubs:
Ever heard of them?
Great! Because I hadn’t until I read The Hive’s July development update which bought good news (yay treasure wars seasons) and bad news cough cough arcade cough cough
But joyful and controversial news aside, let’s look at the star of this show….
Microhubs! Currently, the only microhub ready is the Treasure wars one, all ready for seasons, and the skywars one which is planned.
But anyway, onto the main section… Design ideas for microhubs!
Just Build
Similar to the building area. The usually shut door is opened to make the entry/exit portal with various builds all around, acting as the areas where things would be accessible.
Deathrun
An extremely small mock-up of a deathrun map (probably temple themed to fit in with the lobby) but for convenience, you are on the death’s side. The traps are the locations for the information. (I like that. Information Location. Yeah!)
MM
Information would be directly in front of you as you walked in, but other paths would trail off into a maze like the one in the arcade (which will be gone soon * sigh *) but brighter because I don’t want it to be a vent like the one in Office or the one in warehouse, and when you get to the end you get the hat (or magnifying glass) to become the sheriff and you are teleported to the spawn as the detective sloth. You move slower, but hey, at least you get to look cool! However, you lose your detective outfit when someone else picks up the hat, you return to the hub or nobody picks up the hat in 20 minutes.

CTF
A very small mock-up of a CTF map. You have a 50% chance of spawning in either base and the four item and upgrade booths are swapped for podiums. Thankfully, some launchpads can catapult you to the other end of the map… or you can walk the long way. There are still the mysterious wither roses dotted around the microhub though…….
Former (almost) Arcade games
New hub screenshot!
Ground Wars
A chicken coop with large chickens. Why not?
SG
I’m thinking very military looking, with a sort of post-apocalyptic theme.
Block Party
Professor Zuk’s lab. You can hear music faintly coming from the arena.
Block Drop
Like the gravity map “Pixels” but horizontal and larger.

I’m going to have to leave it here for now, because this post is getting long.
