Map Heights in API

Idea:
Add the minimum and maximum build heights to the Hive API, inside of the maps section.

More information:
It would return the in-game co-ordinates Y value as the min/max build height.

Could I ask why? Not against the idea but am interested in why this information would be useful!

Okay so I am currently creating a mod similar to Lunar Client’s Bedwars Mod, but for Treasure Wars. The current method I am doing to get all the heights is just playing each gamemode in a custom server and building up until I can’t build anymore, which is PAINFULLY slow, and the mod will completely break with new maps.

I am sure people will find other ways to use this if it is added.

Thanks for the info!

Though I’m not ruling it out, I’m afraid that due to how the information is stored, it sadly wouldn’t be possible to easily implement this, and given the limited usefulness of the data, it’s probably not something we could justify spending a lot of development time to implement.

That said, if anyone else would find this useful, please do comment!

Yes this makes sense. I was assuming the information was stored somewhere in the data of each map (What controls where treasures are, map name, generators etc). But thank you for the response! This suggestion can be closed now. Thank you!

Oh, I know someone wanted to make a bridge overlay but was deterred because of getting all the heights.
