Annoying can’t even describe the Energy Bar at the slightest.
If you live under a rock, Hide & Seek has a mechanic that makes me want to rip my eyes out: The Energy Bar. If you use this bar to much, then you’ll have to wait for what feels like forever. The suggested methods to improve the bar are listed below. Feel free to suggest more if needed.
Increase the Bar Level.
As of right now the bar only goes to 20. This makes me mad. The obvious choice would be to increase the amount levels there are. Instead of 20, 30-40 levels seem more reasonable.
Increase the time required.
Since the Bar cap is 20, the time it takes to deplete the energy should be longer. Let’s say the bar depletes after 8 seconds. The best choice would be for it to take double the amount of time, in this case 16 seconds for it to deplete.
Remove the system entirely.
It’s annoying and I don’t like it, but this idea seems like a last resort. I just thought it up for the sake of adding filler text.
Change the system entirely.
If the bar is still a constant presence, then why not change it up a bit? If you use all of your bar, it should recharge 2-3 times faster. If you use half of your bar, then it recharges 1.5 times faster. If you barely use it whatsoever, it take longer to recharge. You’ll also get a message saying that: You’ve used up all your energy! when all energy is depleted.
