I feel like it’s quite odd that Oceania region is just a thing on Hive Hosted in Sydney, Australia yet they barely even care too much about it. I feel like it should be applied to the Region Selector as a permanent main region. I think this would make people in the Oceanic region a lot more happy and with this being added to increase queue times there can be a cross-region matchmaking for Oceania and Asia.
99% sure the server room for Asia region is in Singapore.
it is actually
I actually just wrote a message in a suggestion called a new Africa region for the hive. And I think it is possible if hive tries adding 1 or 2 new regions. So voted.
Do you think that because of that’s where it’s located in zeqa?
What I believe you were referring to when you are talking about the existence of an ‘Oceania region’ is an IP (or more obviously, /region au) that players who live in Oceania can connect to, to give them better latency on our Asia region. There is no standalone Oceania region.
The temporary Oceania region that existed a couple of years ago was created primarily to allow us to carry out infrastructure testing. At this time it is not feasible for us to add any more permanent regions.
