It is very expensive. 2 emerald/1 obsidian?! For a one layer obsidian protection, i need 16 emeralds. With 16 emeralds, you can buy 1 diamond sword (5 emeralds), 1 knockback dory (6 emeralds), 2 ender pearls (2 emeralds/item), and 1 tracking compass (1 emerald). But because of sudden death, it’s especially not worth it, because after 15 minutes, your bed breakes even if you have the world’s biggest bed defense.
Obsidian is really OP. It does not need to be cheaper.

XD. Did you hear about diamond pickaxes? They cost the same price as ONE obsidian block, so 8 times less than an obsifian defense. Also, sudden death? Yeah, that will break all the beds after 15 minutes in the game.
But It still take FOREVER. Bedwars games should be faster than 15 minutes.
Maybe you’re right. For me, most of my won games are 10-20 minutes. Also, BedWars has a timer of 25 minutes. What happens if the timer ends?
Dude just learn how to rush. Based on your post history, I can tell in half of your games you don’t leave your spawn island.

Hey that is not true! I always go for the diamond island instantly. Also, how does this relate to this topic?
Because the only people who want cheaper obsidian are people who camp at their base.

I do not use obsidian because it is too expensive.
they should make 1 set of diamond armor cost at least as much as 1 layer of obsidian (16 emeralds), then the price of obby will be inarguably fair, thoughts?

Diamond armor is fine as it is. I have the problem with the obsidian. Also, it wouldn’t solve the problem, because there are other emerald based stuff. For example, one obsidian defense is 8 ender pearls.
