this is a suggestion and also question
question: does hive bedrock support 1.8.9?
suggestion:
if hive doesn’t support 1.8 add blocking.
so u can block with sword, the mechanics should be the same as 1.8 pvp but on 1.16
idk of this is possible, but if it is maybe consider adding this?
I think you can find the versions Hive supports on the support page. However they’re all in the 1.16 branch. Additionally, in Bedrock, 1.8 came out while Java was in 1.13.
No, I’m pretty sure 1.8 isn’t supported.
Plus I don’t think anyone plays Bedrock on 1.8 so I’m not sure what you just asked there.
You’re talking about pre-Combat Update, right?
i can only block-hit on java servers then
There might be a way to add blocking. I was just responding to whether Hive supported 1.8 or not.
Hello !
Hive Bedrock only supports 1.16.40+, and you cannot block with a sword on Minecraft Bedrock.
ohh ok i just learn to block hit while jittering but only can do it on java bruuuuh
Minecraft Bedrock never supported blocking with swords.

Besides, I’m not even sure how mobile players would block with their swords so.
Hello @Donaterik12,
According to your question, Hive Bedrock currently supports these versions only:-
- 1.16.40
- 1.16.100
- 1.16.200
- 1.16.201
- 1.16.210
You can find this information here. On The Hive’s Official Website for Support.
And coming to your suggestion, Hive doesn’t support blocking. And neither does the Minecraft Bedrock Mechanics. As it has multiple devices for users to play on, and is highly impossible for Mobile users to block hit as it requires another virtual button to be added to GUI. But in my opinion it would be a cool feature to see, and would be a great addition to PVP mechanics!

You can play the hive java version on 1.8.9, but its going to be taken down in a few days
if you want to blockhit play java

Blockhitting isn’t a feature on minecraft bedrock edition, its only available on java
I think it could work but it’d be to complicated and buggy, it’d be better if mojang added this themselves
bedrock edition has completely different versions compared to java, hive currently supports 1.16.40, 1.16.100, 1.16.200 and 1.16.210
Basically
Java and Bedrock have different pvp mechanics and versions/updates
when you asked if hive supports 1.8, I think u meant if they support 1.8, since block hitting is on java 1.8. Bedrock doesnt have block hitting and it will be hard to implement block hitting unless mojang themselve adds it. Pretty sure you thought the updates for both java and bedrock were the same, so like 1.8 would be the same update for both java and bedrock hence why you asked if they supported it
