Core Idea :
Innocents and Sherriff after death, they become ghost right? But as you became ghost, you can’t really do stuff. My Idea is, why don’t they also get to play as well, like in Hide and Seek, where hiders become the seeker so the game keeps going and fun for all players.
First of all, every map should add more furniture. Those furniture will be interactable for ghosts. Interacting with these furniture also gain XP for ghosts. Might also able to signal other Innocents or Sherriff that Murderer is nearby them (I also have idea to add also like the morse code device for advanced players to inform which one is murderer)
Examples :
- Wardrobe (Impulsive Interaction, one time use)
Assume there is a wardrobe. When ghost interacts with it, it will aggressively shake with all containers spat out from it.
- Lights such as Lamp, Candles, Chandelier (Continuous → Climax Interaction)
When ghost interacts with the light source furniture, it will start to flicker. By continuously interacting with it, eventually the light will go off, making the surroundings goes dark for several seconds.
- Radio (Continuous Interaction)
When ghost interacts with the radio, it will make a static sound as long as the ghost keeps interacting with it.
- Morsing Device (Signal based interaction, Interactable for Murderers too)
Separates the control using attack and use interaction (Right click and Left click). Attack will make the short beep sound, while Use will make the long beep sound. Just like in morse code, the ghost is able to communicate with the Innocents and Sherriff (worst case, Murderer can also hear it and able to destroy this device). Ghosts can actually spam this whenever they want until the Murderer finds out and terminates it.
And many more furniture that can be interactable for the ghosts. So far I can only think of these, but any more ideas of this, I will see to it.
Wow, these are some really interesting ideas. The only issue I think is with the static, some ghosts might spam it and it might irritate other players, so some sort of cooldown might be ideal. But these ideas are really cool, voted!

Oh yeah i did not think of that one tbh.
If interacted too much on radios, I should make that it has cooldown or should be broken and unusable later by chance. (Interpretated from IRL experiences)

I think this would be really cool! It would be a really nice way to be still in the game even after you die, especially false shots from the sheriff bow. What if there was something that would generate randomly on the map, even in areas not normally accessible that would allow you to protect one person (it would break after that person got “killed“) and they wouldn’t die? Like a shield or smth?

Imagine a plate flying to defend from Murderer’s throwables. Dang that will be a clutch. But the catch is that, the plate is heavy for the ghosts so they carry the plate slowly to bring in front of the Innocents.

I feel like this would be super fun for Halloween MM, and maybe the spectators can even get a translucent ghost sprite to make it more visual what’s happening, because I feel like it would be kinda frustrating if you are the mur and all these unknown factors just mess everything up, and maybe you can exterminate the ghosts to prevent from interacting with the innos? Perhaps extra xp gaining opportunity
Having this mainstream I think it would have to be a part of a new game mode or something, i just see this getting old pretty quick, and can get frustrating

So far it is just concept, unbalance might happen.
I have an idea to solve this; new statuses before the game starts. So every lobby before the game, the percentage of getting a role of the sheriff and murderer appear right? I would add several new statuses for this one; Moon phase and World start time. This makes players are only have limited duration to interact with the furniture.
Moon phases
As a part of vanilla MC, which this will determines the duration of the ghosts can interact with the furniture. For instance; full moon has the max duration of 90 seconds (is it too long???) for interactions, while new moon has the min duration of 60 seconds for interactions. I make the difference subtle so it will not ruin the core idea.
World start time (sowwy, my weird English)
Simply, it determines at what time of the world will start the game. (it would be easy if i just make the example, i bad at explaining)
Example; the current lobby you in starts at 6:00 PM, it means the world time starts at evening, and in the game, the day light cycle activates until the game hits 12:00 AM midnight where the ghost interaction event starts.
Another example; if the lobby starts at 12:00 PM afternoon, until it hits 12:00 AM going to take long than before.
So the ghost events are always on 12:00 AM but depends on the duration of the start time, as well as the moon phase to determine the duration of the event.
How is that guys?
I really love this idea! I think that the ghosts do feel a little boring and this might fix it! I do see what other people are saying tho, I think that if there are cooldowns for all the interactions, then it would be fine. Great idea! you have my vote!

Welcome back to the Forums! I agree with @xVipxrIIIC, it being halloween would add more spookiness to the game. Although I don’t think they would add a second feature to MM just for halloween.

@xVipxrIIIC @NotYoshi2 As for this concept idea, it is nice for Halloween event because it matches the theme. Although this might be a revolutionary change to the core game it self, one of them is ghost can actually gain XP from interacting the furniture also ghosts can have a chance to keep playing the game without leaving the game so early (Thing is, I want a game that is playable until the game ends with same players like Hide and Seek).
If we considering setting this as a limited event of MM, that is the only period where players are able to XP farming at most, since leveling up in every games are hell difficult. (Even i often play Skywars for 3months now, I only reach lvl 34 atm, sadge). This also means the only period where ghost do have roles to contribute.
