The Hive should change pearls so they work the way pearls do on Java edition.
As Nibbles pointed out recently, pearls only travel a measly 30 blocks. Java pearl dynamics are superior, as they go farther and travel faster (and look cooler while doing it.)
Some Bedrock servers have the Java 1.9 combat system, so adding Java’s pearl behavior shouldn’t be too hard.
I mess with projectile physics all the time in Bedrock edition. Its definitely possible if you can get the gravity and power values right. I think Hive already has the angle at which they’re fired from down.
the Java 1.9 combat system exists in regular minecraft bedrock, but not w/ the shield blocking. Also, no, because here’s one thing that bedrock has too much of: campers. and don’t even get me started that they only cost 2 emeralds for easy dory combat. Java pearls would make dories useless, and besides, people would be so mad that the 2 emeralds would be doubled or tripled due TO PHYSICS. I disagree with this post, superiorly.
So, if you watched that video, you would actually know that you can make it go really far by using blocks than I can’t describe in words…
However, if this did happen, most players would be quite annoyed.
Me included.
But isn’t the common consensus that dories are overpowered in their current state?
I mean, I think 2 emeralds is too cheap for pearls already. Not saying I agree with this post because I think its a good thing that pearls can only be thrown so far, but I do think just a little bit more range wouldn’t hurt.
