Loot Drop > Mystery Chest

Switch out the mystery chest for loot drops from survival games!

I believe that the middle island is considerably more powerful than any other island in the game. The first person who gets to middle and has the better loot from spawn will hold a forever advantage as the game progresses. When said person reached the middle they will continue to get the best loot and prevent / kill others from accessing a lot of the good gear. This only adds up with the mystery chest.

If the person in the middle already holds the best loot, it is nearly impossible to gain the middle chest loot unless the person leaves the island. By having a loot drop (with the same loot table as the mystery chest) spawn at a random island, excluding middle, would allow an extra opportunity to those without gear.

The loot drop also provides those with gear a choice to hold middle or to leave and get the loot drop, providing middle for players with poor loot. No matter the outcome of the loot drop, the implementation allows for those without gear to gain better loot to make more balanced fights as the game reaches its final stages.

The idea of this concept is to distribute the better loot around the map more, allowing those who can’t access the middle island a chance to gain some good gear for themselves!

Voted, but I believe that the chest should stay a chest as it is unique to sky wars

I would agree on this but maybe have both the mystery chest and the loot drops be in the game, cause the mystery chest is the og of skywars

Here’s my two cents on this:

You made a valid point where the loot you can get from mid gives those who get it a pretty big advantage compared to others who don’t get it. Here’s the thing though. With the mystery chest holding the most powerful loot in the game, it gives players a reason to go to mid instead of just sitting there and camping at their spawn island. People can already get loot that you can find in ender chests off of spawn. The ender chests simply act as an easier way to get that loot. Once that loot is already taken, people have no reason to go to mid and therefore, no reason to seek fights.

Like I said above, I agree that there is an issue with the gear balance in this game where the people who get the most powerful loot have a huge advantage over anyone else. But instead of straight up removing something that can give players a reason to go to mid, the best way to go about this is to simply make the most powerful gear in the game less powerful.

Ways of doing this include removing some of the diamond armor pieces or even reducing the maximum amount of absorption hearts each player can have. That way, the players who get the loot from mid are still powerful, but players with a gear disadvantage won’t be put at as much of a disadvantage. In my opinion, without the mystery chest, less people will be willing to risk going to mid and the amount of people camping would increase, and thats not something that we want.

the mystery chest gives players a reason to go to mid and only spawns 3 times in a game giving 3-4 items each time, meanwhile you can mine 30 ores in that time. It does a good job of getting people to go to mid and thats always a good thing. Not voted.

I dont think the mystery chest should be removed but maybe one or two SG (whatever they are called sorry i forget) thingies falling near mid would be a good way of balancing things out.
