The chat input delay starts immediately upon joining the server there’s a noticeable lag while typing, but the message sends instantly once I press Enter.
Additionally, sometimes my character moves on its own or input is completely ignored, even though I haven’t pressed any keys. My ping stays under 100ms, and this happens even without any client modifications or resource packs.
Although this issue might be specific to me, I’d be grateful for any assistance or advice you could provide.

Unfortunately, we need more information about this issue, since we couldn’t reproduce it consistently.
It would be nice to know if this happens on other servers or in single-player worlds, or if it’s just our server.

I haven’t experienced this issue on other servers or in single-player worlds it seems to occur only on The Hive.
It began right after the most recent maintenance, and unfortunately, I haven’t been able to consistently reproduce it myself 
It would be super helpful if you were able to record a video of the issue occurring, to allow us to see what’s going on.
Hi, I just wanted to confirm that this real and it is a big issue.
For me, I play on PC, and my friend also plays on a PC. when you get teleported to a new server, open your inventory, or open any menu (including the chat), you experience HUGE input delay of about 5 seconds, and it lasts for 15-20 seconds before going back to normal.
Both my friend and I experience it ONLY on the hive, it seemed to have stoped for a brief period of time for my friend before starting again.
The only thing that seems to fix it is completely rebooting the device, but that only stops it until you teleport to a game or use any of the hive menu’s specifically, which is pretty useless.
It seems pretty sporadic and unpredictable for different people, but you can try to recreate it by playing on windows 10 or 11 PC, with a keyboard, and playing bed wars a few times, since that is what seemed to cause it for me.
We are still looking for more information regarding this bug. If anyone has any additional details, please do let us know.
I can’t provide too much more than what’s already been said, but I do know of this issue.
I’ve only played Hive a few times since I switched to playing Minecraft on a laptop, and I noticed this long delay in the chat, where typed text takes a while to show up, sometimes the input is ignored, but sending remains instant.
However, I also occasionally play Lifeboat, and I’ve noticed the same issue there. Never has this ever been a problem on CubeCraft though, curiously.
Experiencing a delay when sending chat messages is most likely down to Minecraft’s chat filtering systems experiencing high latency, rather than an issue relating to input delay.
