Explanation of Issue:

  1. ‘Dragão de ender’ is not the name of the final dragon boss in the game in the Portuguese version. Its name is ‘Dragão Ender’. I suggested keeping the name in English because here in Brazil it is much more common for it to be called that way, by its name ‘Ender Dragon’, than by the name in the translation itself
  2. When I saw this, I was wondering if the ‘Hive’ theme in Just Build means the server or a literal beehive. I suggested changing the translation to ‘Colmeia’, but if the theme means the server, I think it would be better to put a ‘The’ in front, to become ‘The Hive’
  3. Both translations, the current one and the suggested one, work as correct translations. The difference is in the context of the words ‘Oceânica’ and ‘Marinha’: While the first talks about animals that live specifically in the ocean, the second talks about animals that live in any marine environment, including seas, oceans, and coastal areas (which I believe is the intention of the theme)
  4. The translation here is more in the sense of a ‘reference point’ than the original intention of being famous places/buildings, so it doesn’t make much sense and cause a lot of confusion. We don’t have an exact word translation for ‘landmarks’ for this case, so I suggested something similar for the same context (‘Famous Monuments’)
  5. Arte com Pixels is a correct translation, but again as in one of the previous cases, the original term in English is more used than its translation here in Brazil. Everyone who knows Minecraft knows what Pixel Art is and it is already a common art style here even outside the game, so I think it would cause more confusion translating it than keeping it in the original (:
  6. The translation into Portuguese became ‘Lodo’, which means ‘Sludge’. I don’t know if the theme is about the slime ‘toy’ or the Minecraft mob, but both are known in Brazil by their English name - the fun goo toy is sold as ‘Slime’ and the translation of Minecraft’s Slime is… Slime! Another case where it’s better to keep the original term, because ‘Logo/Sludge’ makes no sense at all.
  7. The translation means ‘western countries’ and I don’t know if it makes much sense for a theme, so I suggested it for what I imagine the actual theme meaning to be, which is ‘Faroeste’, the Wild West, with cowboys, sheriffs, horses, etc haha
  8. The themes ‘Phone’ and ‘Telephone’ are two different words but they received the same translation (Telefone) due to a confusion of context: Phone is better translated to ‘Celular’, the little device we use every day; Telephone is better translated to ‘Telefone’, so is the one that should be kept with the current translation.
  9. Party was wrongly translated to mean ‘groups’ instead of a Christmas gathering. I believe the confusion occurred because the system of playing together with friends in the same group is also called Party, but here the correct word for this Christmas theme is ‘Festa’ - ‘uma festa natalina’ - ‘a Christmas party’ (Grupo doesn’t make any sense at all for a theme)
  10. Just a simple preposition mistake: The preposition ‘do’ implies that the Gingerbread owns the house, while the correct preposition ‘de’ gives the correct meaning, that the house IS MADE OF gingerbread. So, unless you mean it’s a house for a gingerbread man haha, the correct form would be using the word ‘de’

Our translators have approved these suggestions, and it will soon be implemented into the game.

The only exception is ‘Hive’ which will remain untranslated. We have changed the translation of Ender Dragon to ‘Dragão Ender’ to match the translation used by Minecraft.

Thank you for contributing to the improvement of our translations! :translations:
