Java Bedrock Crossplay!

Idea:

Java Bedrock Crossplay!

More information:

Hello Hive! So I am more of a java guy and I was looking at a few plugins for my server. I came across a plugin called GeyserMC You Add It To Your Java Server And People From Bedrock Can Join, So I Was Suggesting Adding It To Java So Bedrock Can Have The Same Experience As Java Players, Ok I Know Some Downsides Like Bedrock Players Not Being Experienced Enough But This Is The Only Way Bedrock Gets Some Attention I Haven’t Seen Any Of The Featured Servers Do This, Hive Can Be The First And It Will Be Awesome, Or Hive Could Just Get Geyser And Players On Bedrock Could Choose Weather To Join “Hive” On The Featured Server List Or To Join “Hive Crossplay” or “Hive Java” with a IP, This Would Affect The Bedrock Community A Lot In Good Ways, HIVE Is A Big Server And We All Know It But Adding This Newer Challenging Experience Will Be Great, Some May Feel Weird In This New Environment But People Will Get Used To This And Most Servers Will Start Adding Cross-play Also To Add Hive JAVA Is Not Very Popular Right Now But If This Happens Its Gonna Be Something New So The Minecraft Community Will Keep A Watch On This

Sincerely,
A Player

seems like a whole lot of effort for something half of the players won’t use

Implementing this ‘plugin’ is undoubtedly not as easy as you make it sound. There is many, many issues with this. I don’t even believe this is possible.

There’s also the fact that CubeCraft is the one who coined this plugin. My friend who works with their customer support also told me they have their own client for this plugin. So yeah, though it is okay for non featured servers to use it, I doubt The Hive can get away with it. That would imply that they rely on CubeCraft for a major piece of their server.

Hello!! As far as I’m aware, geyser is something that bedrock players use to play on java servers like Hypixel. It is still very experimental. I don’t know if it is possible for a server to use it, as it is only usable by players. You can join the GeyserMC discord and read the instructions. After doing so, you can do it yourself individually, so that so much effort isn’t wasted.

No, I completely disagree with this. Java and bedrock are made from different programs and this can cause crashes and chances of bad anti-cheat. Bedrock and java were meant to be different and not together and it always has been. Java is Java and bedrock is bedrock. This may also shut down MC because both softwares are not meant to be together.

Geyser does in fact work because that’s what the r/Teenagers server uses. All bedrock players have a * before their name and capes will sometimes be disabled for bedrock and the server can lag a lot.(I won’t be leaving the IP because they don’t like it when the server gets flooded because it makes the server lag even more)

Also I highly doubt that this would be implemented.

tbh bedrock players could be even more experienced, especially the sweats, i play java and i know
to be honest, adding geysermc to hive could be cool, what about a plugin that allows java players to join hive bedrock

If not geyser, there are plugins that make java/bedrock crossplay possible. I believe the server brokenLenz uses one of these for example.
