Ingame world record system

Currently the only way to know world records for deathrun is through speedrun.com. IMO, it would be better if this was ingame. It would have a time recorded somewhere(start with the ones on speedrun as a base), and then if someone beats that time, it’s logged.

After it’s logged, one of 2 things would happen. An admin would look into the log, and if it’s legitimate(maybe DR records part of the run automatically if possible, idk), the new time would be entered in. If not, the person would be treated as a hacker. This idea is partially based off of Sir’s idea of threshold times

I’m going to mega bunp this

This would be a really helpful addition, and with the replay system, it wouldn’t be too hard to verify runs, though I suppose it might take time to.

I agree but they should the top 3 i am a dr speedrunner myself so this should be very helpful for me

That would make sense, though it shouldn’t be too big, otherwise manual verification wouldn’t be feasible and it would be plagued by hackers

Genuinely good idea

The only map I have a run submitted on is Relic as that’s the only one I bothered to upload a video of.
