First off, somehow this is not a dupe. I was so amazed by this fact that I double checked it. Secondly, I’m not going to explain to you what this is because the title says it all. But, I will explain how it functions and my reasoning.
To start off, the functions. Similar to the /report command it will have a pop-up to alert players that this is possible. I suggest the pop-up should read: “[!] Found a bug or glitch? Report it by typing the command “/report-bug” or create a topic for it on the forums!” If you do decide to run the command then a menu would pop-up for you to explain the bug and I would explain the menu but I’d like to keep this short.
Now, for my reasoning. To people who use the forums this seems completely useless. But keep in mind only a small percent of hive players are actually active on the forums. And the majority who do log on just make a few suggestions and never come back. And for hive players who haven’t ever been on the forums but encountered a bug, how would they know they have to go on the forums to report it? Now sure, they could go to hive support for this but I’d take a couple hours for them to respond.
Server bug reports often require details on how to find/reproduce it, screenshots/videos of the issue, and much more information, which you cannot provide in a simple menu in-game. It’s also harder to keep track of, which is why we use the Server Bug Reports category here on the forums.
