Right now, those who can speed bridge have a somewhat unfair advantage since they can reach the central island first and grab all the good stuff. At that point, any victories based on combat instead of higher armor grade fly out the window. To counter this, I have a couple of suggestions (these could apply to Sky Wars Kits as well):
1 - Create a barrier around the central island that will disappear once the first mystery chest spawns.
2 - Remove all diamond and emerald ores. All armor and weapon drops from ores and regular chests would be the same as those in Survival Games. Only the ender chests and mystery chest at the central island would have a chance of providing the rarer iron or diamond-grade equipment.
While eliminating the diamond and emerald ores may seem a bit too dramatic to some, this would give everyone a much better chance at surviving longer and prevent one or two teams from stealing all the highest-grade loot.
Any pc or console player can learn to speed bridge, there are plenty of youtube videos on how to do it, and it simply involves holding down left trigger or right click. It’s a unfair advantage in the same way that using snowballs to combo is, it isn’t mechanically difficult, and if someone doesn’t bother to learn it, that’s on them
Removing diamond and emerald ores I believe accomplishes the opposite of your goal, without diamond and emerald ores, anybody who doesn’t get to mid has basically no chance of winning, while if you have these ores, you can be reasonably competitive even if you didn’t go to mid.
A barrier around mid is unnecessary, because you already have a barrier around your island, which gives you plenty of time to loot and get some ores, again, unless you literally don’t get blocks, anybody can speedbridge to mid, it’s not some obscure special talent only a couple players are able to learn.
Plus ender pearls do exist and so do knock back boomboxes. You can get to mid fairly easily. I myself can’t speed bridge (I play on iPad ) But I get around it anyway.
part of being good at the game is knowing how to speed bridge + i consider not being able to get to middle because of say noy blocks in the chest as a clutch situation where i have to implement more strategy and its fun to have that every once in a while
Skywars is and will be a rng based game.
In some cases you leave your island with full diamond, sometimes just
with chain. Thats a part of the game.
You can speed bridge on every device and it isn’t that hard to learn.
Bridging fast and looting is a skill to learn itself.
