You all know how many people sit in Hub and chill, most the time it gets boring. Think about hive voice chat…
Theres pros and cons to this, easily communicate with teammates, interesting factor to the hub to meet new people. It’ll strengthen the positivity and friendships in Hive. Cons are that there will be harrasment and bullying but thats why there should be a mute option, you could choose to mute someone if they are being rude to avoid toxicity. Helpers are also an option but theyre not going to be in every server.
Xbox app cant be used to communicate with each person because not everyone uses xbox. Some are on pc, mobile, etc.
It’ll make hive hub and games so much more interesting, we wont have to have typing delay to communicate with friends.
Yeah, but Helpers aren’t in every hub, and Moderators don’t want to spend dozens of hours listening to audio recordings. It’s simply easier to get friends in a Discord VC.
I still think it’d be pretty enjoyale to have a vc so you dont have to add or invite every person just to talk to them. It’d make it so much easier, and fun to play the game with teammates
Hive’s age range spans from children to adults, some of these adults are horrible people, and the children probably won’t be muting them, because they’re children. even if that’s a rare thing, it can very likely happen, that’s enough of a reason not to implement this
This is obviously just a suggestion, there are many risks and benefits from this. I used the words harrasment and bullying as short term. The things you mentioned fall under those categories
Not only is this concept against Microsoft/Xbox tos bringing serious moderation problems, and can’t be added into the game anyways for being too advanced, it just doesn’t make sense for a voice chat.
Pc has the Xbox app by default and mobile you can download it so you can join parties, discord and it’s respective alternatives are also available and while not everyone can get discord there’s not rlly much hives gonna do.
Once again, voice chat in a server brings too much risk and to consider the amount of predators potentially out there to take advantage of something like this could be scary.
Extra note: Xbox and Discord have professional moderation teams and are also large enough to handle any incidents, helpers can’t do this since it’s a smaller staff not doing this as a job and most of them aren’t at legal age to review some sketchy convos

This actually used to be a feature on the hive discord a while ago, but it was removed shortly after due to a lot of player harassment and issues as well as it being very difficult for staff to moderate each VC 24/7.
Who know though, perhpas this may be added back in the future!
Although I would love to see this feature (it could be implemented in a similar way in which Roblox did it), I don’t believe it’s even possible to make this because Minecraft doesn’t use your microphone. I have looked into in-game voice chats before, and even without the complications of being a large server, I haven’t seen a single addon capable of it.
The overall coolest idea would be for Mojang themselves to add Voice Chat (as well as Voice Chat based on distance to players) to the vanilla game. But thats a whole other conversation
But assuming it could be done in theory (because this is an interesting point), it could be done in an acceptable way. If you wanted to use Voice Chat on the Hive, you would have to go to their site (or potentially Microsoft’s site) and prove your age is over 13 or 15. Something like that. Roblox did this by requiring an image of a passport or drivers license. Is that a lot of work? Yes. This is why Mojang would probably do it before Hive, as it would be a large undertaking.
It probably wont be as fun as you think but just cause you want me to be nice and sugarcoat any potential cons im gonna say that this suggestion is 100% flawless whatsoever and everyone should totally vote without thinking of any possible downsides
