This may end up changing in the future, but for now, we won’t be giving icons to the regular and Hive+ roles, mainly to prevent chat from getting really cluttered.
An advantage to the role icons is that it makes our staff members easier to identify, especially for newer members who may not be aware of all the different role colors (let’s face it, there are a lot!) Giving every role an icon would counteract this.
