Hive Client!

Alright. I know it sounds crazy but hear me out!

Hive Client (aka Hive Launcher) is something like Onix Client but made by hive.
I´m not exacly a UX designer but here are some pictures of how it could look like:

Main launcher window:

The background changes every minecraft launch with pictures of minigames from hive.
The text “Ready to play Minecraft?” changes every minecraft launch too!
It should be picked from a list of splashes.

Again note that I´m not a UX designer and this was done in getpaint.net

So the client will be on platforms:
Windows 10 (Executable Exe)
Android (Google PlayStore App)
iOS / iPadOS - (AppStore App)
I don´t know how it could work on consoles (Nintendo Switch / Xbox / PlayStation) but there should be a easy way to do so!

Features:

Extra features:
Badge before your name
Special hub title and costume

So what do you think comment below

What will make this client different from other well known (trusted) clients such as Onix? Aside from having neat pictures of the Hive everytime you launch MC.

Maybe this client will only have features The Hive deems fair for their server? Like full bright?

EDIT: The client could also provide easy access to information relating to The Hive such as a news section. Links to the support website, forums and even player statistics/leaderboards would be neat as well.

I have upvoted this because a Hive exclusive client could make the user experience on the server that much better.

I’m not a big fan of clients. Good idea but I don’t see this. (It could happen :open_mouth:)

i think this is actually a cool idea. i dont know if the hive is in a good state right now to do it, as they havent put out a new game mode in a while. but i am not the hive. voted

also i like what @BlizzLee said

Am I dumb or is this just bad english cause idk what he’s trying to say

Like what

What do you not see

This happening*

I’d rather the hive focus on the server rather than dealing with an external client

Yeah I do agree on this. Right now they are currently focused on developing a permanent game mode.
But if they ever get time in the future I believe they should consider this.

I don’t see this happening, or want it to happen.

The Hive is a Minecraft server, and from what you’ve probably seen, that’s a hard job in itself. They’re in a really bad position right now since the community is mad about the lack of actual updates, and I’m sure that’s one of their highest priorities.

The development of a client is completely different from the development of a server, so they’d need to hire essentially another team to do all this work.

Furthermore, I’d say that around half the Hive Community is on devices in which it’s very hard/impossible to install a client on (eg; iOS devices, consoles). A huge suggestion, such as this, should be one in which the entire community could benefit from, not just the PC sweats.

ios isn’t hard to download clients on. . .

you just go to mediafire or sth else similar and download it and upload it to MC

you just have to click 2 buttons…

why are people even saying this, do people consider the christmas update, the halloween update, the skywars update, prestiges, and the replay cinema not actual updates? people should stop saying this and think about what hive added in the past few months. sorry if this sounded harsh

No hate to Hive (because I absolutely love it), but half of them are not permanent updates. People just want Hive to stop making updates hat last 1 week, and instead making updates that last forever.

Some client only features, like a special badge!
Or a stats page in the client (Shows the statistics for games)

That’s not harsh, the SkyWars update was like a couple months ago, and the Christmas and Halloween updates are limited time updates. They’re not actual updates, merely limited time content to attract more players
