Gravity: Shuffle

There should be a separate mode of Gravity (within the same NPC) where the game isn’t based on 5 rounds, but more about who is able to complete most maps within a certain time limit.

Instead of voting for maps here, you would be given random maps and every time you complete one, you receive one point. Player with most points after 3-5 minutes wins.

I don’t really like this idea, I see only sweats being interested in it bc it can only be efficiently played once mastering or really knowing the maps

I think this idea is brilliant! Seeing how popular Deathrun Speedrunning is, I can see this catching on! I think this could really help make Gravity more competitive and it’ll be fun scouting out maps to find the optimal routes. Take my vote.

Would be a great alternate gamemode, maybe they can add a level requirement such as level 5 so you have a little of experience before being able to play that. They could even do this shuffle mode as a 1v1 mode with gravity-skill-based matchmaking, so you don’t get overran by sweats as a beginner? :man_shrugging: There are many cool ways of implementing such a game. ^^

I would like to this to practice my gravity skills as I’m currently trying to max lvl it and if it did give xp I do have a habit of not dying a lot so honestly this would be very helpful to me and probably everyone else too. (It also sounds really fun)

The fundamentals of the idea sound interesting, but I’ve also read the replies and I have some thoughts to offer:

I think instead of having it as a gamemode, it could be taken as a sort of practise mode, where players can jump in whenever they want to and compete against a randomly selected pool of maps, lasting around the 3 minute mark. To portray an incentive for users to play this mode, we could implement some sort of leaderboard feature where the statistics hologram would usually be.

There’s obviously a lot more to unpack with this idea, but I am simply offering my own thoughts as additional ideas towards your suggestion.

As a reminder, this is just my own ideas and should not be treated as a formal recognition or development of the hive’s own thoughts or directives! :beedance:
