Give Turrets Faster Reaction Time!

IDEA: I think it would be cool to see Turrets have a faster reaction time! :smile:


So, how would this work? :hammer_and_wrench:

The amount of time for turrets to target a player would be doubled in speed. However, this is only for FIRST recognizing the player. :sweat_smile: I am NOT asking for double speed in general. (that would be bad) :rage:


Why would this be useful? :thinking:

Increasing the reaction of turrets could help in defending, trapping, and offense. I’ll explain all of these below. This could also just be my opinion, so I would appreciate if more people gave comments related to it! :sweat_smile:


:dizzy: DEFENSE: Faster turret reaction would allow the turrets to spot people and stop them in their tracks, even faster than the person who played them! :joy: They can still be bowed down and stopped in advance, but it makes for a better warning, especially while paired with Enemy Alarm.

:aggressive_laughter: TRAPPING: Trappers could sneak them behind a wall, and they could be used to punch the opponent off before they can run past or spot the turret themselves, preparing for it. This could be used as a funny indirect trap, especially if a stronger player is trying to approach you! :joy:

:angry: OFFENSE: If you are a player who likes to rush or leave their base, :translations: the turret can be used in the same way as it could for a trapper, which allows you to have a sort of “mini player” defending your base! :sweat_smile: This could give you a second chance, and might help to keeping players from camping all game. :thinking:

Nope, camping doesn’t need any buffs. I THOUGHT WE WANTED FASTER GAMES.

I’m not speeding up the tirret in general. It only sperds up the FIRST HIT. No other hits. It’s a minor difference but just a QoL change, not some crazy game breaking factor that makes any atrategy but camping invalid.

The smallest QoL buff, but also it has such a price that I rarely see it being used unless they hard camp, and maybe this addition could make other players use it. Or, it’s just nice. Besides, they suck anyways :sob:
