Give Hiders slowness or Seekers speed

Can we please make it so hiders can’t easily run away from the seekers all game? I really feel like it defeats the purpose of the game mode.

It’s hard enough for most seekers to win normally, but their odds are worsened when they spend the whole game chasing 1 guy.

I know some players play this mode just to run from seekers all game, but they are always the ones to leave right after getting caught anyways.

I feel like simply adding slowness to hiders or speed to seekers could make this mode so much better.

Just no. There are times where seekers did win and giving slowness to hiders makes it unfair. Some hiders also like to run so i dont see a problem with it

Give them 3 or 5 chance to increase speed, just like swiftness enchance book in Skywars.

Well, you clearly didn’t read anything I wrote lol

I did read the entire thing and i have played hide and seek for a long time and seekers are able to catch up with the hiders most of the time in the rounds i played. If seekers were to be given speed it will be unfair towards the hiders cos they would be faster. Theres nothing wrong with hiders running away from seekers and i dont see HOW that defeats the purpose

I run from seekers and theres nothing wrong with it. In fact alot of the players in the same game as me do it and i dont see how its runing the game. The seekers are just not running fast enough

And u are clearly just complaining lol

“If seekers were to be given speed it will be unfair towards the hiders cos they would be faster” … uh yeah that’s kind of the point …

“hiders running away from seekers and i dont see HOW that defeats the purpose” … its hide and seek, not tag.

“I run from seekers and theres nothing wrong with it” … so you’re just mad I’m arguing against your playstyle. Which is fine but that doesn’t help your point.

You’re obviously biased against my idea, which is fair, but try to be a bit more objective.

Hiders win way more often than seekers. Seekers really only win when there are 1 or 2 decent players in the lobby and/or the map isn’t horribly balanced like sunset terrace.

I’m max level and enjoy a good game where I actually worry about being found. More often than not though, a couple of poor low levels get seeker first and struggle to find anyone. And that’s worsened when they spend the whole game chasing someone instead of actually looking for people.

Thats because they are too focused on one particular hider and not the ones near them.

Some hiders do hide first and only run if the seeker is near them or took dmg from the seeker. Hide and seek has also tag involved with the chasing part

I didnt say i was,i was only stating my opinion

If I was a seeker who didn’t know better, why would I bother looking for people when there’s someone just running around in the open.

And some players don’t bother hiding at all and just run the entire game. Where is the “hide and seek” in that?

U cant really control how they play the game, if they want to run for the entire game, so be it

The game is already basic enough as it is, there’s absolutely no need to take away an entire playstyle that many people enjoy, especially when seekers don’t really need the extra help.
If you really wanna talk balance in hide and seek, then i want to remind you that the hider running from you also has to worry about every other seeker, and there’s no way for a good runner to outrun 2 seekers trying to cut him off.
The vast majority of level 75 mainly play as dedicated seekers anyway and you’re not gonna outrun those indefinitely, let alone win by just hiding.
This has been a core aspect of the game for almost 12 (twelve) years now, do you think it’s reasonable to come here and go “please can we just” because you somehow find it hard to catch hiders? i can assure you level 75 players have no troubles clearing lobbies

Ok and how many people are lvl 75? If you’re lvl 75 you’re expected to be better than other players. What about all the other players who don’t know every hiding spot in the game?

How often do you actually see that? (And I’m talking about when the whole lobby isn’t chasing one of the final hiders). Bc what I mostly see is a couple of low levels mindlessly chasing w/o any strategy.

Someone made a suggestion to make a Cat and Mouse gamemode (basically tag), which sounded exactly like what those type of players could play. Bc really, how often do you see a player who doesn’t bother hiding and runs the whole game actually play seeker when they are caught? 9 out of 10 times they leave as soon as they get killed. Give them a mode where they can play tag w/o ruining the core of hide and seek.

If u cant kill runners get better or ignore them, if u still cant kill them with the entire lobby helping u then u didnt deserve the win anyways. Running is a legitimate way to play the game and absolutely more fair than large seeker parties.
