Gifting is one of if not the most famous things on hive and it’s been pretty basic so why not improve it?
With hives much more improved and modeling skills, you could change the model of the gift to feel more modern. Perhaps maybe one of the gifts you see as a custom blocks during winterfest or the gifts under the daily gifts tree? That’s all for the model now on toooo
Gift Message
Currently the gift just shows up as [user] has dropped a gift can you find it first which is fine to me but the next part is what kind of feels weird to me. When someone finds it it just says [user] gift has been found which does get the job done but in a less mordern way. I would have it like
- [User] found [user]'s gift and got a [cosmetic]
- [user] found [user]'s [cosmetic] gift
- [user] got the/a/an [cosmetic] from [user]'s gift

Gift receiving
Currently, a menu just shows up and just says “you got a gift from [user]” but for me at least, I would have it in chat and it will say one of the 3 options to the other players but for the user that obtained the gift, it will say
-Congrats! You got a [cosmetic] from [user]! Open the hub cosmetic/global locker to check it out!
-you received a [cosmetic] gift from [user] congrats!

Giftable items
We all know about the type of players who just sit in the hub and say “can someone gift me blah blah blah plzzz” and just pray? Yea me too so why not have a timer until the cosmetics are giftable? it would be maybe 1 week or 1 month after it’s release to prevent from player instantly begging for items that released 2 seconds ago.
So yea that’s my idea for the gift overhaul. (I was gonna put a message system but I remembered about the Microsoft policys and it’s not allowed to have a 1 on 1 conversion with another player so that’s that) But anyways, I hope you guys like this idea and if there is someone willing to make a model of what the new gift model could be don’t be afraid to do so! should add or improve or just delete. Ok I think that’s enough yapping for now lol
