Playing gw for even a bit gets very boring, part of this could be blamed on the open and plain maps. While the backgrounds do look cool and all, it doesn’t make a difference to gameplay. Some maps do have a little bit of natural cover, but not much. I would love to see maps be more different and provide different natural cover. I know you are able to build and what not but that doesn’t mean there shouldn’t be any natural cover.
If you are able to see this has plenty of cover which might be too much but it would make maps be different since all seem about the same at the moment. Also it has the entrances to spawn up higher to hopefully make it harder to get spawn killed. Elevation on maps should vary more.
Made this map smaller since I’m lazy, also was in the Halloween mood. Anyways having a second, MUCH smaller floor would be nice to see, wouldn’t be op in my opinion since being up higher in this gamemode seems to make it easier to get killed. Which there is a map with a second floor but it doesn’t go out much at all, just a deck type thing. Also have different ways to get up to them without building and from staircases in spawns, should have ladder/stairs in the middle of the map.

small maps are bad, also instead of natural cover you could try dodging… anyways, please never add a map like the bookshelf one I see, it would be VERY annoying to play on.
In regards to elevation, are you aware of how broken even a single block slope down is in terms of gameplay? if someone hides on a 1 block down bit, especially a wide one with lots of dodging options, it instantly makes their hurtbox effectively 1 block instead of 2. They already have a version of this in boulders and such on maps like cave, but those are small and you don’t have as much freedom to dodge. Anyways, please dont do this.
I didn’t mean small maps, I was just too lazy to make another actual size one.
Anyways you could still play on your open and plain maps, just don’t vote for these types of maps.
Dodging really only works when they don’t spam, which well everyone does. Spamming is so rewarded in this game which is why its dead already. Building does nothing because you get an egg back when breaking an enemy’s block.

On mineplex turf wars I do remember some of my favourite maps had different levels on them, I remember a maps with trains had two bridges on the top, that were certainly not as op as you seem to think, and another one that started flat and in the center of the maps was three lanes, a lower one in the middle and two higher ones on top that were connected by a bridge over the lower one.
I still think that all maps would be better off with having a flat area as the baseline, with all changes in elevation seeming very “intentional”, as opposed to it being terraining
I’m not advertising, I’m using the only other bedrock server with a turf wars gamemode as an example to show that this is actually not op.
If anything having more maps like this would really help in terms of variety when playing on mineplex.

I also played turfwars, and you might remember that that map also had an a top bit. This helped to balance out the problem of people hiding behind the walls, as that allowed for an advantage over those people. I would also like to point out that you can throw your projectiles in groundwars, thats a big deal. Also also you couldn’t react to projectiles and dodge them as easily as you can in this game.

Gonna bump this one too. Remember you dont have to even vote for these types of maps if they ever do get added. I just want some that aren’t very open!

unfortunately, even the worst maps will still get voted sometimes. Maps that are more cramped would undoubtedly get voted more because they require less skill and end up with more trades, making the game less enjoyable for good players.
They already said that they made the map small because they were lazy at the time calm down lol
no, I’m very very happy with the size of the current maps. what I’m referring to is the creation of even SMALLER, more cramped maps (or maps with unfair terrain advantages)(what this suggestion is suggesting) and I dont like those ideas at all.
I’m pretty sure they didn’t intend to make the map so small and cramped originally in the making of the map.
If the Hive were to implement this map, they probably would have made it much bigger and add some barriers as they usually do.
But I’ll just respect your opinion for now as I do not feel like starting an argument with you.
