I kind of thought about this while chatting in the discord server. adding a Forum regular role to discord would be nice as well to encourage new active forum user.

Mabey instead on regular it could be 500, or even 1000 likes received because regular is so easy to get atm.

Since Regular has been removed (and since many people will probably join the forums just to get the hubtitle, as stated here),
I don’t think there’s really a need for this.

That was from September 2020 and has already happened. You know how you login to the forums with your Microsoft account, it didn’t used to be like that, you logged in with just your email.
That post is just saying it will change, which it did.
Edit: oh I just saw what you meant, I guess they planned to do it but didn’t want to spend too much time on it
