So I had an idea the other day. If anyone has tried to sign up for cubecraft forums, you would know that you have to input a passcode given in-game. So you have to log on to their server to have access to their forums. So my idea is adding either ranks or pets or hub titles to the hive. This would encourage hive players to check out the forums, and the forums users to play more.
Ranks would be based off of badges.
Here would be some ranks:
Forum member
Monthly user
Beeday
Buzz
Contributor
Devotee
Ect.
Any maybe all existing/future new users of the month would get a cool pet so that every user tries their hardest to be helpful and active.
(And yes I do have a little motive bc I have that badge)
And maybe the forums ranks would have like a hive yellow or like an orange rank color.
Anyways, like always, feedback is appreciated!
Thanks for taking the time to read my post
As I mentioned before, these forums are mainly used for bugger reports and suggestions, so again, adding these would be mainly useless.
I’m mainly focusing on the suggestions aspect of it
I think Hive wants the community aspect of the forums to die, so I don’t think they would add incentives to join.
Why?? Why do they want the community aspect to die?
well idk but it looked like hive wants to do this, im not an old forumer so i cant provide much information
Lol nor am I
They seem to only want community interaction on their discord server. They used to have community stuff on here, but they removed it and just kept the suggestions and bug reports.
I think this is still on-topic, since it’s explaining why they wouldn’t add something like this.
Wouldn’t this be too similar to trust levels?
My post you mean?
He means Trust Levels, a sort of “Xp” levels made by Discourse.
Normal Levels
Normally there are:
- Visitor
- New User
- Member (trust level 1)
- Member (trust level 2)
- Leader (trust level 3)
More trust you get, more likes and votes you can use.
Levels accepted by Hive
- New User
- Member (trust level 1)
- Leader (trust level 3)
This means you can only be a new user or a member (useless you’ll never join staff).
Note that these trust levels aren’t related to ranks.
