Idea:
Add the ability to fly (like in Creative mode) for players who own all currently available mounts.
More information:
If a player is missing even one mount, they can’t fly. If a new mount is released, the player loses flight access until they obtain it.
This way, Hive keeps selling mounts - flight won’t make them useless because it depends on owning them.
Benefits for players:
New long-term goal: collect every mount.
Exclusive ability to fly (only for full collectors).
Benefits for Hive:
Encourages players to buy more mounts.
Keeps mounts valuable and relevant.
Adds a rare, prestigious feature without harming monetization.
Limited-time mounts wouldn’t be required for flight, since they can’t be obtained later.
Even if Hive doesn’t plan to add flying for players, please don’t archive this post- let people discuss it here. I believe it’s a fun concept that the community clearly wants to talk about and share opinions on!
That’s exactly the point - you can still fly with just one mount, so nothing unfair. But to fly like in Creative mode (free flight anywhere and witthout a mount), you’d need to own all mounts. This way, everyone gets some kind of flight, but full creative-style flying stays a special reward for true collectors.
Yeah, theres like 16 mounts there no way on earth someone would spend $160 worth of mounts they are basicly the same thing just different variants. Flying in hub is only for Hive staff and I think they would keep that way.
That’s what would make it special - it’s not meant for everyone, only for true collectors who’ve supported Hive the most. It’s a rare reward, not a standard feature like in a rank.
But Its like me saying I bought all bedwars season tickets (actually true) whenever I join a bedwars I can break blocks on the bw map. I just dont think this a good idea, sorry.
In your example that would be pay-to-win, but my idea isn’t - it’s just flight in hubs, purely for fun, not gameplay advantage…. And if you don’t like the idea, that’s totally fine too!
Listen its not a bad idea, Its just some people upon getting flight will stay in the hub all day and get players to follow them and less people will play.
Why would people follow flying players though? For example, on CubeCraft you need to spend around $200 to get flight, and when I fly around the hub there, no one follows me or stops playing because of it. I’m kind of confused about what exactly you mean….
$200!!! Cubecraft is taken our money! anyway I will vote if you edit OG post and add something for everything tickets, hats, all that stuff. Cuz if this make its I want the bw tickets to have something too.
but we must remember the worst wat if hive goes down….
– Creative flight is much faster horizontally than any mount out there or jetpack.
– On CubeCraft you can fly freely like in creative mode, perfect for screenshots or exploring events.
– People in the comments are already willing to buy every mount just for that feature.
Ehh idk. Because hackers can then blame this on a “glitch” causing them to be able to fly in games on hive with this “glitch”. I feel like hackers would use that as well as other things mentioned as an advantage, my opinion tho
Mounts are a way to fly, so there is no need to have creative flight. Yes, people would in theory buy mounts, but it’s quite a lot of money for something that could be gotten another way. I’m very against this.
Also, ticket mounts aren’t available forever. Are they excluded or do tickets not matter?
That just isn’t how glitches work. I’m not an outstanding programmer, but I know that there are lots of ways to make it impossible to carry the flight into games that could be done one on top of the other, making it basically impossible. This feature would have to be coded rather sloppily for it to be even remotely within reason to smuggle the flight. Furthermore, I doubt anyone would buy over a hundred US dollars worth of mounts just to fly. A quick check of the player’s cosmetic purchases would make it obvious whether or not they’d earned this ability legitimately.
