It’s a neat idea I think, however sounds quite overpowered. If you use it on an opponent, you can just fling them into the void before they even reach you and you’ve then saved having to fight. Which may be good for you, but could cost the other person the game, all because you threw them where they had no control. All the current features can be easily countered if you know the right strategy, but with this, even if you’re in the middle of a pvp fight, two clicks of your fishing rod and they’re chucked into the void with no way of preventing it.
Additionally, you mention saving teammates from falling off the egde… personally I think I would have such a bad aim to be able to save someone in that short amount of time you have for the fishing rod to reach them.
That’s just my opinion, maybe there are ways to counter your grappling hook idea but I’ve not thought of any.
Yes, I see. The aim would be difficult to pull up a team mate and hitting an opponent with it would be op. Ok, I see that it would be too overpowered of an item to go in. Thanks Mate! Have a Good one!
It could be purely used as a one time use Graphing hook, only usable for hooking on to an edge. I don’t know if that would be possible but it could work.
Welcome @Diamondboy4005 !!
The grappling hook mechanic sounds like a cool Spider-man game. Certainly interesting. The logistics of it being implemented, not to sure. Most definitely outside of the box I must say.
Fishing rods for sg sure, but rods for tw would just be pretty useless lol
Like to be clear I’m not against it, it would be kinda nice to have rod pvp in sg but in a game like tw where you can respawn and stuff rods just aren’t the greatest thing to add
They’re the biggest buff you can give to the Keyboard and Mice people in any pvp game in Minecraft.
Keyboard and Mouse users can switch between items in their hot bar really quickly.
Why is that important?
Well it’s because being able to switch between a rod and sword is incredibly op because being hit with a rod applies hit stun to an opponent giving the player a window to get in some free damage.
What makes this unfair is the exclusivity of this ability. Mobile and Console players have a hard time doing this with the same precision and speed as our keyboard and mouse over lords.
