Falling mob trap on prison effects people outside of circle

What is the bug?
On prison, I was running through the falling mob trap. It was activated, but I got out of the circle, so I thought I was safe. It still killed me though

Hey there,

This is actually intentional. The blocks on the floor do no exactly indicate the area that the trap effects.
