I tend to see a lot of people making duplicate posts, and then a staff member replies to the post mentioning it’s a duplicate. But that just makes me wonder… why not reply to the post mentioned then? I mean, you know it exists, but you don’t reply…?
So my idea is… well… get the forum staff to look at the posts mentioned.
It won’t waste much time since your already at it and at least posts with a ton of votes will know whether they do or don’t get their post approved.
It just makes sense…
Why should the staff have to look at the original post and bump it? The point is to have the person who made the duplicate suggestion, look at the original and bump/interact with it THEMSELVES so that they know not to make that same suggestion again.

No I mean when the post is closed the staff will check the thing they linked and reply to it. That way, there is a response.
They aren’t obligated to reply to the post that they linked and neither is the person who made the duplicate post. It’s just to bring awareness to the original topic ._.
I’m not saying they have to, I’m asking them why not? Because sometimes me personally I feel like what I say isn’t heard much, and I would rather just hear “no” over nothing.
