I think a cool arcade game for the Hive would be a remaster of the mineplex classic “Dragons” as a new casual game on the hive. If you don’t know what dragons is or how to play it, there’s this neat little site called “Google.com”. Also, please don’t throw a fit about “copying” games from other servers. The hive has already done this but just gave the minigames the hive touch to them.
The hive does not copy games from other servers. All minigames are community made ideas and some servers choose to make it unique in their own way like the hive has treasure wars, Name hidden to prevent advertisement has corewars and Name hidden to prevent advertisement has cakewars.
Some games are unique across these platforms such as deathrun but this topic is irrelevant. Lets move onto your suggestion
Dragons - How To Play (If you dont know what it is)
“Dragons” is a game found on Name hidden to prevent advertisement.
The game consists of you needing to survive on a floating platform in the middle of a void for as long as you can.
Near the start of the game, dragons will start coming to the island and swooping through it as you go along.
More dragons appear as the game keeps going
You see, the problem with this gamemode doesnt come from that its copied or from another server, its in regards to how you would get XP from it. If it does make it in, “Dragons” would be the second game that has no PVP in it whatsoever meaning you cant get XP from kills. You would only be able to get XP from:
- Survival Time
- Player Eliminations
- Wins
However this is still not the only problem. There are 3 podium places but there are only a few worthwhile statistics that can actually be put onto it such as:
- Survival Time
- First Death
[If bows are included]
- Most shots fired
- Most arrow hits
However, in conclusion, this game would not be that good for the hive. The hive is already making an upcoming arcade game called “Block Party”. You can check out what’s next for the hive using the link below:

although i LOVE dragons, i don’t think the hive will add it bc it would technically be copying another server.

When I mentioned copying I meant copying the core ideas. Like everyone copying the core ideas of bedwars. And to address your podium issues, top 3 survivors and time said survivors lasted. Your exp concerns, yes they are understandable but the exp give-outs could be large, easy to level up, and/or have few levels. And yes there are similar games across servers. For example, survival games. Every server has it minus 2 servers that shall not be named to prevent advertising. (Chronos for server that shall not be named to prevent advertising) But they all have the same core ideas. Free for all hunger games were you collect gear from chests and last player alive wins. Servers then add unique twists to make it unique. Like hive with boomboxes or server that shall not be named to prevent advertising with multiple, limited lives via time. In hindsight, it probably would’ve been better to use “similar” instead of “copy”. Also, I understand why you are so defensive about this so no harsh feelings felt. I hope this was a constructive response for your 3 main arguements. Have a good night!
P.S. Is your name based off Hollow Knight and if not I will be severely disappointed?
Hive itself tries to make games polished and easy to follow. I think this would not fit in the hive’s style of games. Feel free to criticize.
