[Idea:]
How about displaying rank names as a prefix to user nicknames on Hive’s Discord server, like Hive’s Minecraft server? (For Minecraft servers it is the suffix.)
In doing so, it is possible to determine who that user is (what role he/she has) at a glance, making it easier for even colorblind people to determine them.
[More information:]
A verified Discord bot named “WriteRank” provides such a feature.
The bot’s main task is to display the rank name as a prefix to the user’s nickname.
It is possible to set the rank name to be displayed for each user’s highest role, and on the Hive server, for example, it can be utilized as follows:
[Hive+] Myname
or
[+] Myname
[HELPER] Myname
or
[H] Myname
etc…
The bot will continue to keep their prefixes even after the following user actions are taken:
・When a user sets or updates a prefix to a role using a command.
・When a user’s highest role is updated.
・When a user changes a nickname. (This includes when editing the prefix on the nickname and when entering text before the prefix.)
In other words, the prefix on the nickname is never broken and keeps.
It adds a prefix to the user’s nickname as shown in the image below.
