Have both teams get one score after 5 minutes of both flags being contested.
If both flags are held by the other team for 5 minutes, they should reset the flags, and give both teams a score. (Along with giving the flag holder scoring EXP).
This would be to help single queuing players, who are good enough to survive even after the flag curse is bought, but is stuck with a team that can’t retrieve the flag. As currently it is far too easy to get a match in CTF where both teams hold eatchothers flag, without being able to retrieve their own. It would also help people survivng with the opposing teams flag. As right now to get more XP it would be better to drop the flag, allowing the other team to score, so atleast you can get more kills.
This addition would help relieve the flag bearer’s who are currently punished for playing better, it would also help make CTF games end quicker. As many games end up in stalemate after 15 minutes.
I see where your trying to go with this but in a way this wouldn’t work bc both teams would just have a standstill 3 times and then have the match draw and I think the game only goes on for ten minutes anyway

Love the idea, but what if both teams have 2 captures already?

I think that’s really what flag curse is for. I agree if it’s on the second goal you must actually kill the flag bearer.
The game does go for 15 minutes. But anyways if both teams have 2 scores it would end up in a draw, but atleast the flag bearers get XP and arent punished for surviving longer.
Also its impossible to get this to happen three times in one game, because that would take both flags getting taken in less than a second.
The issue is I got a game where there were no scores in 15 minutes, and I held the flag for like 12. The flag curse is fine for making the game faster, but it punishes the person with the flag even more because its basically impossible to get any kills while holding the flag.

It would end in a draw, but atleast the ppl with the flag would get more xp
