Cross teaming auto kick idea

this is a game suggestion but I thought that there could be a tracker for cross teaming, if two players stay in a 5 block radius for over 1 minute and they aren’t in a team and neither hit each other then they will get auto kicked from a game, this could be unspoken about so teamers won’t know and try to avoid this. I get this is really hard to ask for but if it isn’t or is a good idea then pls use it.

man, people chasing can really get their opponents out of the game now

ahhhh, thats true, however if they are in a 5 block radius they can easily hit each other, if they are that close for 1 min and no contact has been made they can be kicked

This just doesn’t sound practical at all, unfortunately, we are just going to have to report cross-teamers, on the discord, and eventually report them in game

How so?, reporting takes too long on console and i think this could be effective if a similar idea was used

This could be an really bad idea. Normally, this will cause non cross teamers to get falsely kicked. The discord reporting system works effectively. It doesn’t matter for how long it takes to make a report.

Also, Hive might not even add this too. The reporting system is fine at the moment and is mostly effective

What about a three block radius, where they CAN hit each other

Even so, imagine just fighting non-stop for one minute and then you and the other opponent will get kicked for a false reason. Sometimes fights can take forever to stop.

Honestly I doubt this would be something we would implement. There are many situations where a user could be falsely kicked, as mentioned by the above users. Imagine almost trapping someone, almost getting away from someone chasing you ect and you get kicked xd

I get what u mean but if two enemies are too close to each other and never hit each other for a certain time then would definitely mean teaming right?

I like your wish to see something to prevent cross-teaming automatically :desktop_computer:

Technically it could be done. It would involve some strats to know if players are actually cross-teaming, but in term of logic it’s definively possible. And in case of a doubt for the IA, there can be a vote system to have more weight for the situation, if it’s well-made with right proportions it can give something neat. Seems over the top, but I see very well this possible and codable :sunglasses:

Still. You are right that if two enemies stay together for a given period of time, then yes, that would be considered cross-teaming. Based on the idea of an automated cross-teaming detector concept, you will be supposedly kicked after staying within a few blocks near an enemy after one minute. I can imagine a scenario where I can trap in a skywars map (just what Crazykittyzz mentioned earlier) and once that trap backfires in a way, I would mine around creating tunnels just near the victim.

Overall, I do wish that something could stop cross-teamers. But I barely see any of them in a skywars game.
