Chain is kinda iconic at this point, a type of armour you always wear as a beginner but later ignore since you jusr rush mid, so no clue from me sorry. Welcome back though!

what if the copper chestplate is a weekly item with prot 4 (that would be slightly better than diamond i think)

Welcome back mate!

Although a new replacement for chain mail seems fine and dandy, but I think the contrary. I actually think copper armour should be a special item(s), since it’s brand new. It obviously can’t be regular armour, it has to have something different from most armour sets.

Edit: I just noticed you already suggested this, but I think instead of Protection IV, it should have a new component, something that isn’t just a simple enchantment.

I just thought of a great idea:

It starts out strong then the more damage you take the weaker it gets (It would look like it’s oxidizing)

Imo that’s pretty balanced.

I would want copper instead because sometimes it’s a bit hard to tell whether it’s chain or iron.
