why you would need this?
eg. one of my friends gifted me x. (eg. backbling) and i don’t want x, i want z. (eg. hat)
i think i should be able to change x to gift tokens so i can get z.

Maybe gifting gift tokens should be a thing but if I gave something to my friend and they traded it in for something else I would be annoyed that they didn’t appreciate the first gift. I think friends should be able to gift gift tokens; or just talk to your friend about what they want beforehand.
i didn’t say that i want gift tokens to be able to be gifted, i said i want to change gifts to gift tokens.
