After the Hive made an incredible Pineapple costume thanks to Orbixx, I wonder if that could spark up an idea to make more costumes based on the community. I think it would be a cool idea to take certain members of the community and make a costume on them. What do you think?
For example, if there was a costume after me (although silly) it would be a literal Phantom Burger. But that does sound a little funny. But other costumes based on other people could be cool.
I doubt this would be added, Hive team said they donât accept community-made costumes. I feel like they wonât make this, that Finapple costume was only made since it was suggested and was made as a special costume.
I donât think they mean community-made costumes, rather having us make costumes based on members of the community.
Itâs a cool idea but thereâd be bias on what themes to make costumes around and which not to. The reason Orbixx had the pineapple costume added wasnât because we were basing anything on him but because we thought the costume idea was cool. If you wanted one based on yourself, it would just be a matter of suggesting it and seeing if we like it Otherwise we probably wouldnât pick out specific community members to make costumes for.
I think fowben already had an idea for a pinap costume, so it happened and ariannasv22 did some artistry magic and it came to life, and orbixx being the pinap god was very hyped i dont think this will happen very often but if it does it will probably eb based on staff or really involved members like orbixx or holly
Just to clarify some things:
From what Iâve heard, the pineapple costume idea has been around for a while, but it was Orbixx who kind of brought the idea to my attention. I liked the idea, and I had the opportunity to ask Fowben about the possibility of the costume. He said he couldnât make one if he didnât have an idea on how to make it. He couldâve just been saying it, but I was a little upset and I then asked him about a possible scenario in which a member of the community submits a potential design. He told me that they rarely accept designs from the community. I completely understand why they wouldnât accept designs from the community, but I still took a chance and drew up some designs. Granted, they arenât the best, and when I posted them, the most I expected to get was a couple compliments from people. About a week after I posted the designs, Fowben said that he had an idea on how to make it. At first I didnât think he mightâve seen my designs, but I later I learned that Fowben had indeed seen the post, and had taken a little inspiration from it.
I just want to make it clear that this was a one-time thing and I was probably just lucky. Itâs unlikely Iâll be making any more potential costume designs, and itâs also fairly unlikely that Hive will be accepting designs from the community anytime soon.
Personally, i understand why the hive donât accept community made costumes because they would have to go through them all and that would take a very long time. But there could be a role on the server that could be like âCostume Designerâ which helps design costumes. That probably sounds dumb and no one will like it and I know they wonât do it
Fowben himself designs and models the costumes.
Also, I guess it would be a lot to go through, but besides that, a lot of people donât realize that a lot of thinking goes into the designing of a costume; or at least, thatâs how I think of it. I tried to keep my designs gender neutral, relatively simple, not too big, and I tried to come up with themes that most, if not all people were familiar with. But thatâs just what I did, not sure how Fowbenâs thought process works lol
