The Hive have been really eyeing the player counts on games lately, potentially leading one or more games being vaulted if the player counts still aren’t satisfying.
The most inactive Hive gamemode being Block Drop - that being said, I am here to suggest for Hive to remove Block Drop, and add in TNT run with their own new maps.
I believe, that one of the major reasons why Block Drop is so inactive, is because of the time removal of the blocks to go when players run on them.
Renaming it to TNT run, making it so blocks fall instantly when stood on, and keeping everything else the same (blocks and maps) is an alternative.
OR they could make new maps along with TNT run. It’s really upto Hive.
I strongly believe that this will make Block Drop / TNT Run way active. With a double or probably triple the player count, more of an active leaderboard and more of an active chat.
In response to what you just said - The only thing different about Block Drop is the time removal of when the blocks fall, which is making the game lack activity.

I played blockdrop for a little bit, and almost decided to grind it to max. This game is fun for a round or two, but can quickly get very repetitive.
personally, hive could just add their old java game Electric Floor back.
At first I thought block drop was like this but later I found it’s just a tnt run with longer block dropping time.
but whether player number low is because people don’t love this gamemode or other reasons, also groundwars had more problems and even had less players than block drop, why not mention.
Should we guys always focus on non-pvp because you don’t even play them right?
You mentioned Electric Chair and it being the same because of longer block dropping time, I generally strongly believe, for the better of Hive, this is why the game is so inactive. People find it too slow.
2nd . You bring up Ground wars. Both Block Drop and Ground Wars are around the same player count but one can be down players longer than another.
With Block Drop with less of an active leaderboard, whilst Ground Wars has an active leaderboard.
And you must not know who I am, I do play non-pvp games alot, more than PvP games - besides if someone wasn’t to play non-pvp games, that has nothing to do with this suggestion. It’s simply to help Hive’s activity go up in a particular gamemode like this.
Two things-
One, is it really that fair to bring stats into this? I didn’t even say anything like “I’m a experienced block drop player” or “I play this all the time”
Two, I still enjoy the game. I don’t have to play it constantly to enjoy it. Plus if you are going to bring stats into this, if you check august 2024s block drop leaderboards you will see that I won 150 of those games in that month, meaning I enjoyed it enough to play it that many times.
Also
That’s like one of my main game types, right now even more than pvp
Starting with 6 maps bringing the total to 12 after a few month
New levels (the total to level 50)
New Powerups (Nemo’s: knockback Nemo, knockback Dory, Knockback Puffy, knockback squid.) (vaults: leap like in deathrun, vault like in Block Drop) (repear your line: 15%, 25%) (speed & jump boost: speed 1, speed 3, jump 1) (freezer [freezing the blocks around you with a 3 block radius]
LTM Maps (I don’t think there are any LTM Maps in Block Drop so There would be 3 in TNT run x1 spring, x1 fall (autom [i think that’s how it’s spelled]), x1 Winter
Also, @AJtheOtter once again, do I have to educate you on player counts nowadays? Block drop and ground wars are tied for the lowest played game, and bridge the second, but they STILL won’t vault bridge
It’s logic, people find the game boring and repetitive because of the time removal for the blocks to fall.
And what do you mean changing the block falling mechanics barely???
Changing the name to TNT run will give eyes to a lot of players, it will be fun and pretty fast-paced.
And Bridge isn’t even inactive, i think you’re mistaken, it’s Ground Wars and Gravity, but those two games more often pass the Block Drop player count by a few, and I know that’s just a few, but the leaderboards are way more active on those 2 leaderboards too, because they are both really unique in a better and different way compared to Block Drop
It doesn’t need to be fast paced… Most games already are, if you need something fast paced block party is a better option, block drop is just slower paced, and that’s perfectly fine. Games can be slow
