I love Castle Towns idea of getting keys to unlock a vault but for murderer it’s incredibly hard to kill anybody. The keys are found immediately than everyone has a bow in seconds..
With the newest addition of Nectar Lake it comes with a cool blindness effect, what if we either made Castle Town a night time set map and given that same effect in Nectar or adding some sort of fog effect to better hide the keys and the murde rer to lessen how easy the map is for everyone else.
If Castle Town is made into a darker map I feel lights would be a good addition to add more depth.
( Thank you devs for such a masterpiece of a game mode )
Whenever its a good lobby the mur and the sheriff just play ring-around-the-rosie around the central area of the map, so adding a way to reduce visibility, and give the mur a chance to surprise them, instead of having to rely on a decently hard throwable shot, would be a much needed quality of life improvement. imo the map needs a redesign but that’s prob just me so
Nevermind, I don’t like this. There’s a lot of gimicks for this map and I’ve rarely seen anyone run in circles so I don’t have that issue. More gimicks would get the map voted for more, which not only makes the game more plain, also increases the chance of hiding AND still promoted running.
That’s a lot of extra work and would just create slower lobbies for something that’s barely an issue. Besides, you can still run in circles with or without fog.
It still does something. Maybe if every game was Castle Town? I see Backrooms more than that.
I don’t think that would work…
Here's Why
Here’s an example with four players: Eagle, Darth, Lilx and Prodigy (weird names, but shhh)
There’s one open lobby with Castle Town, Backrooms and Museum.
Eagle has played Nectar Lake last game.
Darth has played Pigment last game.
Lilx has played Fairy Garden last game.
Prodigy has played Museum last game.
Eagle, Darth and Lilx have not played any of the maps in the open lobby so they can join it. Because Prodigy has, Prodigy is unable to join that lobby. Because of that, a new lobby has to be made for Prodigy.
Let’s say games start at four players. There are three in lobby one and only Prodigy in lobby two. Now, no game has started and there’s just two lobbies that can’t start until a different game finishes.
You can still see them, it’s just harder. Besides, if you get a small glimpse of them, you can turn around and it will take at least 30s for them to go the other way to cut you off restarting the cycle.
It still takes up resources which costs money for something that really doesn’t seem needed. If any Hive staff want to fact check that or something they can, but I think that’s it. This idea would lead to a lot more servers open.
Yeah, but I don’t think it happens every game. Even if, do you find players run across the whole map every time? Even then you can do that on any map (even nectar lake which has fog)
It’s not moving people, it’s the cost of more servers. Having 10 lobbies for players to join would be cheaper for Hive than 15. Maybe if this was some major problem I’d see this be added but it’s not really a situation where they should spend more on this.
You know what, I’m curious about that. I’m gonna test that and let you know what the actual % is and what it is if I don’t vote it. I’ll do it later though
