These are some ideas I have for the upgrade section of Capture the Flag.
- Enchantments (250-300 Coins)
Swords will have Sharpness 1.
Pickaxes will have Haste 1.
Bows will have Power 1.
- Potions (150-200 Coins)
All players on the team will be given:
2 Splash Potions of Poison 1 (0:10)
2 Splash Potions of Strength 1 (0:10)
- Coin Multiplier (275-325 Coins)
All players on the team will be given:
2.5 or 3 coins/second (Usually it is 1 coin/second.).
- Arrow Upgrade (150-200 Coins)
All players on the team will be given:
Fire 1 Arrows.
- Fire Protection (175-225 Coins)
All players on the team will be given:
Fire Protection on all pieces of armor.
Extra Notes:

Players will be able to keep their potions when if they die.

Players will be able to keep their fire protection if they get iron armor after the upgrade is in effect.

The Arrow Upgrade could possibly be incorporated into the Block Upgrade (an upgrade currently in the game) and be jointed into an item upgrade.
OR
Be incorporated into the Enchantments upgrade (I think the Block Upgrade choice is better, but still pointing it out.) -
The Fast Respawn upgrade (which is currently in the game) should be lowered to between 250 and 275 coins and keeping the 2 second deduction that it currently has.
OR
Keep its original price of 350 coins and make it 3 second deduction (maybe even 4?) -
The Absorption upgrade (which is currently in the game) should be immediately be given to all players on the team and regenerated after 5 seconds of being regenerated to full health.
